BTS will put on an online concert called ‘Permission to Dance On Stage’ in October

BTS’ label Big Hit Music announced the upcoming concert on Weverse and social media. Following the Weverse announcement, a press release was sent out to the media.

According to the press release, “21st century pop icons BTS are returning with the live-streaming concert ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE’ on October 24. The announcement was made on global fan community platform Weverse, accompanied by a vibrant poster in the key color of ‘Butter’ CD single that includes ‘Permission to Dance,’ heightening excitement for the event.”

A poster for the concert shows the members of BTS standing on a small stage in front of two large speakers. A spotlight above the band casts out an orange light, matching the color of the Peaches version of the “Butter” CD.

“Permission to Dance On Stage” will take place on Oct. 24 at 5:30 a.m. EST and 6:30 p.m. KST.

What music will BTS perform during the concert?

BTS’ album BE was released in November 2020. Throughout 2021, the members of BTS have focused on releasing singles. On May 21, the septet dropped their second English-language single, “Butter.” Their third English-language single, “Permission to Dance,” was released on July 9. On Sept. 24, Coldplay will release a single called “My Universe” with BTS.

As of right now, it is unclear what the setlist for “Permission to Dance On Stage” will be. In 2020, “Map of the Soul ON:E” concluded the band’s Map of the Soul era before the band kicked off promotions for BE. The setlist included songs from BTS’ 2019 EP Map of the Soul: Persona, their 2020 album Map of the Soul: 7, and older hits from the band’s discography.

Based on this, one can assume that “Permission to Dance On Stage” will bring BTS’ focus on English-language singles to an end before the band launches a new era. Fans can expect the group to perform “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance” along with songs from BE.

When was BTS’ most recent concert?

“Map of the Soul ON:E” took place on Oct. 10, 2020, and Oct. 11, 2020. Each concert date featured a different setlist and costume changes. Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, “Map of the Soul ON:E” replaced BTS’ planned Map of the Soul Tour.

While not an official concert to promote music, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook put on a concert celebration in 2021 called BTS Muster to celebrate their relationship with their fan base, ARMY.

The annual fan meeting, which was named BTS 2021 MUSTER SOWOOZOO this year, took place on June 13 and June 14. During the event, the band performed songs from BE, older hits, and put on special never-before-seen stages to surprise fans.
