BTS ARMYs Saw Jungkook Throw 54 Punches in 15 Seconds in New Instagram Video

Jungkook is called BTS’ “Golden Maknae” for a reason. In addition to being an award-winning vocalist and dancer, this BTS member boxes. In 2022, he shared a new training video to Instagram, earning millions of views in the process. Here’s what we know about the “My Time” singer.

Jungkook is the BTS member behind songs ‘My Time’ and ‘Euphoria’

Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are the members of BTS, often performing group songs like “Permission to Dance,” “Boy With Luv,” and “Butter.” One of the vocalists for the band, Jungkook, also appears in several solo songs, like “My Time” and “Euphoria.” 

Jungkook also cowrote “Stay” from Be (Deluxe Edition) and helped direct the “Life Goes On” music video. Since his debut, Jungkook also earned his “Golden Maknae” nickname from ARMYs. 

“Maknae,” meaning he is the youngest member of the K-pop group. “Golden,” because the vocalist is good at pretty much everything. 

He can paint, play tennis, even kick the cap off a water bottle with his foot. It makes sense that this idol is also a talented boxer, sharing videos of his progress on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter.

BTS’ Jungkook posted an Instagram video of himself boxing

Thanks to his individual Instagram account, fans saw new selfies of Jungkook and even some pictures of his Doberman named Bam. In January 2022, Jungkook posted a video of himself boxing, throwing over 50 punches in 15 seconds during the training session. (Of course, he flashed a smile underneath his mask.)

“Let’s box,” Jungkook captioned the video, according to a fan translation. V commented several surprised emojis under the video. Since being posted, the clip earned over 25 million views on the social media platform.

This wouldn’t be the first time the “Golden Maknae” shared a video of himself exercising. In April 2019, he first posted a clip of his boxing journey, later publishing two other boxing videos to Twitter during 2020. 

The BTS members often share their love for exercising, especially Jimin

During the 2021 BTS Festa, RM mentioned that he, Jungkook, Suga, and Jimin work out together, with Suga adding that they all act as if they’re soldiers in the movies, encouraging each other and even exercising shirtless. 

Jimin said during an interview with GQ Magazine that he’s “really into working out these days,” incorporating a night run and listening to music into his daily routine. All seven BTS members dance for exercise, rehearsing complex choreography for songs like “Black Swan,” “Boy With Luv,” and “On.” 

During an interview with BBC, a few of the BTS members shared that they de-stress by working out. That includes Jimin, who said, “After you go for a run and sweat, your mood gets better, and you sleep better.”
