J-Hope is one of BTS’ rappers, dancers, and songwriters, celebrating a birthday with fans and the other members during February 2022. This year, fans may be physically distant from J-Hope due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

However, several birthday-themed projects are underway to honor “Hope Day” and the unofficial “sunshine” of this K-pop group.

He’s your hope. You’re his hope. J-Hope (real name Jung Hoseok) is one of BTS’ rappers, performing on songs like “Permission to Dance,” “Boy With Luv,” and “Butter.”

As one of the older idols of this K-pop group, J-Hope is a member of the “Hyung Line” with Jin, Suga, and RM. Because of his bright personality, the idol also earned the nickname “Sunshine.”

J-Hope was born on Feb. 18, 1994. That makes this BTS member the only Aquarius of the group. He’s also the only BTS member with a birthday in February, as Suga celebrates his upcoming birth date in March.

As a result, February turns into a month of love, sunshine, and hope for ARMYs, with some fans celebrating J-Hope’s birthday. Some even named Feb. 18 the unofficial holiday “Hope Day.”

Even miles apart from J-Hope, ARMYs are already celebrating this rapper’s birthday. Some took to social media, posting their favorite pictures. There’s even a bus driving around with a giant “Go J-Hope” across the front. Fans created a J-Hope-themed billboard in The Olympia Mall showcasing this artist and his dance moves.

One Weverse user asked J-Hope if he would sign on for a V Live in honor of his birthday. The rapper responded with two shushing face emojis, leading some to believe he’ll virtually celebrate with ARMYs.

With J-Hope confirming he’s working on a solo project, some fans even expect new music from this artist on Friday. The artist has not explicitly stated he’ll debut a Hope World 2. However, the vague white boxes on his Instagram led fans to believe something exciting is on the way.

ARMYs are also giving back to one another, with some fans giving away BTS merchandise on J-Hope’s birthday. Because it’s so close to Valentine’s Day, there are some red and pink-themed headers in honor of “Hope Day.”

As the unofficial “Sunshine” of BTS, J-Hope is a proud supporter of several nonprofit organizations, even appearing in the “Love Myself” campaign with the other BTS members. ARMYs created the “People of Hope World” project in his honor. With this, fans will collect money and donate to “Mojar School” to arrange food for children.

There are also new “streaming goals” for J-Hope original songs. Fans aim to reach over 100 million Spotify plays on “Outro: Ego” and 130 million Spotify plays on “Chicken Noodle Soup.” ARMYs even hope to get Hope World to the No. 1 spot on iTunes.
