BTS just performed for the second time on the Grammys stage, and it was more than anyone could have ever imagined. Jungkook, Jin, V, RM, Suga, J-Hope, and Jimin performed their hit song “Dynamite” from their most recent album BE. Though BTS fans, the ARMY had been anticipating this performance for quite some time, things didn’t exactly pan out as they’d hoped.

Now, BTS’ fans are calling the 2021 Grammy Awards the Scammys.

BTS performed ‘Dynamite’ at the 2021 Grammys

BTS has graced the Grammys with their presence in the past. The beloved K-pop group made their first appearance at the awards show back in 2019. At the time, they presented the Best R&B Album, though they did not perform.

In 2020, they appeared alongside Lil’ Nas X for a performance of “Old Town Road.” However, this most recent Grammys was super special. The group got to perform as an act all on their own. In doing so, they became the first Korean artists to get a solo stage at the Grammys.

The group has been highly praised for the stunning vocals, the lighting, dancing, and the stellar performance they gave on the Grammy’s stage. However, fans are miffed because they feel the show’s producers chose to hold BTS’ performance for the very end of the broadcast for views. They also felt the group was snubbed in all major categories.

BTS reacted to losing the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

Though BTS lost the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance to Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga for their “Rain On Me” collab, no one can take away the historical significance of BTS’ nomination or performance.

All losses are hard. However, the seven guys seem to be handling everything very well. BTS and RM, in particular, got candid about how they were dealing with the loss.

“We really want to see Army now, and I’m sure Army is feeling the same emotions we’re feeling, so we’ll be back with even greater music, good performances, and even better music. So we’ll work hard for this next year as well, and we’ll be back with great music and performances that you can look forward to,” they said via E! News.

RM added, “We’re all good. We love you!” It looks like one disappointment won’t be stopping BTS from doing what they love.

BTS’ ARMY is now calling the Grammys the Scammys

Though BTS is ready to press forward following their Grammys loss, BTS’s ARMY is not forgiving. #Scammys began trending on social media ahead of the award show following the group’s disappointing loss.

One fan flat out shaded Grade and Lady Gaga’s win. Another pointed out the fact that #Scammys were trending much higher than the actual #Grammys

Despite everything, there is clearly no stopping BTS, and they will undoubtedly be nominated in the near future, which means that a Grammy win could also be just right around the corner.
