Since their debut, BTS visited New York City several times, even performing in Grand Central Terminal and the United Nations Headquarters. As a result, some members shared their love for specific New York locations.

Here’s what J-Hope and V said during an interview with Jimmy Fallon.

BTS often visit New York City to perform at concerts

This South Korean-based group is one of the world’s biggest boy bands. Since their debut, BTS has sold-out stadiums across the globe, appearing in New York City several times for interviews, special performances, and concerts.

In the past, BTS performed at New York’s Citi Field, where J-Hope even gifted an ARMY one of his bags. In 2021, the boy band visited and spoke at the United Nations headquarters for a second time.

J-Hope shared his love for New York City’s SoHo

In 2018, the BTS members appeared as guests on The Late Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The host asked Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook about some of their favorite New York City activities and locations.

“I love SoHo,” J-Hope said, mentioning one of New York’s neighborhoods. “I want to go there for shopping.”

“I love MoMA museum,” V said. “And New York street. And New York view. And on my way to work, every morning, New York hotdog. Perfect!”

Months later, these artists reunited with Fallon to visit some of New York City’s most iconic locations. They enjoyed a meal at Katz’s Delicatessen and even performed at Grand Central Terminal.

The BTS members mentioned how ‘clean’ the New York City subways are

From hanging out with Megan Thee Stallion to jamming with Coldplay’s Chris Martin at the Apollo Theater to performing at the United Nations headquarters, BTS’ New York City experience isn’t exactly universal. That’s especially true of their time traveling with New York’s public transportation system.

During a separate interview with Access, the members were asked about their reaction to the New York City subway. Suga said, according to the translator, that he was surprised that there were no bathrooms in the subway stations but happy with how clean they were.

The interviewer was surprised that the rapper described the subway as clean, and Jungkook, who also thought they were clean, offered an inquisitory “no?”

Of course, the BTS members share their love for several cities that they stop in. J-Hope often mentions his love for In-N-Out Burger, a fast-food chain primarily in California and the Southwest. During their period of “rest and relaxation,” RM and Jimin both traveled to Europe.

The “Dynamite” music video is now available on YouTube. Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
