Jimin thanked BTS fans for the birthday wishes

Jimin titled the VLIVE “I’m Here.” To start the VLIVE, he thanked fans for everything they did for his birthday and told them that he saw a lot of their messages. For Jimin’s birthday, fans trended hashtags, posted heartfelt messages, and purchased birthday ads.

He also told fans that after BTS’ “Map of the Soul ON:E” concert, he had a few days off and he spent his time off with family and friends. Because of this, he did not have time to do a VLIVE broadcast until Oct. 20. Jimin also explained that BTS were busy preparing things for ARMY, so he only had about 30 minutes to talk with fans.

During the VLIVE, the singer told fans about all the preparation the band had for the “Map of the Soul ON:E” concert on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11. The concerts were livestreamed for fans to watch, and BTS finally got to perform the songs from their album Map of the Soul: 7.

Jimin detailed how difficult the dance break was between “N.O.” and “We Are Bulletproof, Pt. 2.” He told fans he was particularly excited to perform “Filter,” his solo song from Map of the Soul: 7. The choreography for the song featured a quick costume change, and Jimin and BTS’ team put a lot of effort into making sure the performance went off without a hitch.

During the ending ments for the “Map of the Soul ON:E” concert on Oct. 10, Jimin cried when addressing BTS fans. While he said he did not intend to use the VLIVE to explain why he cried, Jimin did give fans a reason during the broadcast.

According to Jimin, he realized that fans were watching the concert in real-time after performing “Boy With Luv.” This surprised him as he did not know he would be able to see ARMY watching the concert live. Because of this, he became emotional during the concert’s encore.

He is concerned about how the pandemic is affecting others

On Sept. 23, BTS delivered a speech about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic at the 75th UN General Assembly. Jimin brought up the speech during the VLIVE, and he addressed how concerned he is for people during these difficult times.

The BTS singer weighed his words for the speech carefully, and he said it was hard for the group to decide what message they wanted to deliver. Jimin said he feels worried for everyone, but in particular, he is concerned about young children who do not understand what is happening because of the pandemic.

While Jimin originally held the VLIVE to spend time with BTS fans for his birthday, the broadcast ended up being another display of the singer’s compassion. It is clear from the VLIVE that the singer cares a great deal about ARMY.
