On April 8, April 9, April 15, and April 16, BTS are holding Permission to Dance On Stage – Las Vegas concerts at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The first concert took place on April 8, and Jin of BTS spent some of the concert not participating in choreography. In a Weverse announcement, Big Hit Music let fans know that “Jin’s choreography and stage performance will be limited” because he recently had surgery.

Jin of BTS had surgery on his finger

On March 19, Big Hit Music published a Weverse announcement letting ARMY know that Jin “underwent surgery” after injuring his finger.

The Weverse announcement reads:

“Jin injured his left index finger during his daily activities and visited the emergency room at a hospital nearby for examination and treatment on Friday, March 18.

He consulted doctors and was told he required surgery as the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged. He underwent surgery to repair the extensor in his left index finger on the afternoon of Friday, March 18.

The surgery went well according to the doctors. Jin was discharged from the hospital on the morning of Saturday, March 19 and has been resting. He will wear a cast for the time being for stabilization and a speedy recovery.”

Jin will perform ‘limited’ choreography during BTS’ ‘Permission to Dance On Stage – Las Vegas’ concerts

BTS performed at the 2022 Grammy Awards on April 3. For BTS’ performance of “Butter,” Jin stayed seated for most of the song and danced with Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook toward the end of the performance.

On April 8, Big Hit Music posted a new Weverse announcement letting fans know that Jin will similarly be sitting out of some of BTS’ choreography during Permission to Dance On Stage – Las Vegas.

Big Hit Music’s Weverse announcement reads:

“As we informed you on March 19 (KST), Jin had injured his left index finger as the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged and underwent surgery to repair the extensor in the finger. It was the opinion of the medical personnel that Jin should refrain from vigorous movement as any impact on his finger due to the amount of activities increased more than necessary, while he is still recovering from the injury, may cause another surgery.

While the artist himself strongly wished to participate in the performance in full, our company has decided to follow physician advice and minimize Jin’s movements during the ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LAS VEGAS’ concerts on all the above mentioned dates. As a result, Jin’s choreography and stage performance will be limited to a certain extent. We ask for your understanding and support from all our fans.”
