At the end of their recent run at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, BTS announced new music was coming on June 10. Last week, fans learned the comeback would be a three-disc anthology titled Proof. On each disc, there will be one new song. Main vocalist Jungkook is credited as a writer on disc 2’s “Run BTS.”

BTS comeback edges closer with tracklists and song credits now available

The first single off of the upcoming anthology, Proof, is “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment).” The artwork and name reference BTS’ era The Most Beautiful Moment in Life. The series spanned 2015-2016 and included the albums Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2, and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever.

The writing credits for “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” include the BTS rap line, RM, Suga, and J-Hope. Other writers include Max, Dan Gleyzer, and frequent BTS producer Pdogg.

The song is listed as the final track on disc one.

Jungkook is listed as a songwriter on ‘Run BTS’

The new song on disc 2 is “Run BTS.” The rest of the songs on Proof contain demo versions and different recordings of some of BTS’ biggest hits and favorite b-sides.

Besides Jungkook, RM, Suga and J-hope are listed as co-writers on “Run BTS.” The other co-writers are Dwayne Abernathy Jr., Ebenezer, Oneye (Pontus Kalm,) Daniel Caesar, Ludwig Lindell, Melanie “Joy” Fontana, Michel “Lindgren” Schulz, and Feli Ferraro.

Dem Jointz produced “Run BTS.” He’s well known in the K-pop community for producing hits like “Cherry Bomb” “Kick It,” and “Sticker” for NCT 127. He also produced “Ya Ya Ya” and “Obsession” for EXO.

‘Run BTS’ is not the first BTS song Jungkook has written

Although he’s the youngest member of the biggest group in the world, Jungkook has helped write multiple pieces for BTS. For the album Love Yourself: Tear, Jungkook wrote “Magic Shop,” a song dedicated to ARMY and meant to bring comfort to the fans.

Jungkook also helped compose the BTS songs “Autumn Leaves,” “Run,” “Stay,” “My Time,” “Telepathy,” “Film Out,” and “Your Eyes Tell.” Recently, Jungkook co-wrote “Stay Alive” with group member Suga for the 7FATES: CHAKHO soundtrack.

Jungkook is also said to be working on his own solo mixtape or album. In May of 2021, he told Billboard, “When I create something and come back to it later, I feel like I can do better.”

Fans are confused about the title ‘Run BTS’

ARMY, the loyal BTS fandom, know Run BTS! as the reality show featuring the seven BTS members. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook participate in competitions every week in the series that started in 2015 on VLIVE

With a new song titled ‘Run BTS,” some fans think it may be related to the reality show.

On a Reddit thread, one fan wrote, “Run BTS has a song now?” Another ARMY brought up the recent hiatus of the series. “They missed RUN BTS so much that they made a song about it.”

A fan thinks this could be a genius strategy to promote the reality show. “Having a song called run bts, so that when people Google/YouTube it will bring up run episodes and down the rabbit hole newbies go. 5d chess play.”

Whatever the song is about, ARMY can’t wait for Proof to drop on June 10.
