BTS released a teaser for ‘Life Goes On’

On Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. EST, Big Hit Entertainment released the first teaser clip for the “Life Goes On” music video. The teaser is under 30 seconds long and opens with RM and Jungkook sitting in front of a campfire.

J-Hope and V are then seen laughing together in front of the fire as Suga, Jin, and Jimin look on fondly. At the end of the teaser for “Life Goes On,” all seven members sit together in their pajamas watching TV.

The BTS members suggested Jungkook film the music video

Ever since the members announced they were working on a new album in April, they have been posting YouTube Livestreams on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel to give fans insight into their album-making process.

On Sept. 22, BTS streamed a video on YouTube that was dated for August. In the video, the band members discussed filming the music video for “Life Goes On.” At one point, it was suggested that Jungkook film the music video like a Golden Closet Film. With his G.C.F films, Jungkook shoots, directs, and edits videos entirely on his own.

Jungkook is listed as the director for the BTS music video

Jungkook recently held a livestream on Oct. 21, and in the YouTube Live he shared details about the “Life Goes On” music video.

“This time for shooting the music video, I’ve taken on the role of the PM as I shot the music video,” Jungkook said. “So I’ve shot the music video and I’ve had discussions with the director and stuff and did all the process. And I’ve learned how hard that is. It was really hard.”

He continued, “It was my first time, so, frankly when I filmed the G.C.F video and stuff I merely started out of curiosity and because it’s so fun to film and edit videos… but now, it’s become an official work. So it really was a lot of pressure.”

In the credits for the “Life Goes On” music video, Jungkook is credited as the director.

The group is self-producing the album

Including the lead single “Life Goes On” and BTS’ hit single “Dynamite,” BE (Deluxe Edition) has eight tracks: “Life Goes On,” “Fly To My Room,” “Blue & Grey,” “Skit,” “Telepathy,” “Dis-ease,” “Stay,” and “Dynamite.”

The members of the Korean band are typically involved in the music-production of their albums. For BE (Deluxe Edition), the K-pop group is involved in all aspects of the album’s production.

A press release from Big Hit Entertainment explains that the members were involved in the album’s “overall production: concept, composition, design, etc,” leading to the album having the “most ‘BTS-ish’ music yet.”
