The BTS Members Officially Have Instagram Accounts — How to Follow the Band

While BTS are typically active on Twitter, the band members originally did not post on Instagram. This all changed following BTS' Permission to Dance On Stage - LA concerts. Now Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS all have individual Instagram accounts.

BTS Instagram accounts for each member have officially hit the internet. Since their debut, the members of BTS have been active on Twitter and share a Twitter account. While Big Hit Music has an official Instagram account for the band, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were not active on Instagram. Following the conclusion of BTS’ Permission to Dance On Stage concerts in Los Angeles, the members of BTS opened their own Instagram accounts.

The BTS members are taking an ‘extended period of rest’

On Dec. 5, Big Hit Music announced that Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS will be going on an “extended period of rest.” This will be BTS’ second official vacation, as the group also took a brief break in 2019 before resuming their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour.

In a statement on Twitter, Big Hit Music wrote, “This period of rest will provide the members of BTS who have tirelessly committed themselves to their activities, a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative energy.”

The statement continued: “It will also be the first time for them since their debut to spend the holiday season with their families. We kindly ask once again that you show consideration for their need to enjoy ordinary and free, everyday lives while solely concentrating on themselves, albeit for a short while, during their period of rest.”

BTS creating Instagram accounts occurred just hours after Big Hit Music announced BTS’ planned vacation.
