On June 14, BTS put on a live virtual concert called “Bang Bang Con The Live.” The concert did not disappoint, and Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook brought joy to fans around the world. During “Bang Bang Con The Live,” the band performed old hits, songs from their newest album Map of the Soul: 7, and the members had plenty of classic Bangtan moments that warmed ARMY’s hearts.

The group performed some of their classic songs for ‘Bang Bang Con The Live’

Right out of the gate, “Bang Bang Con The Live” was not what fans would expect. BTS opened with “Dope” and “Boyz With Fun,” two songs from their 2015 EP The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1.

The group then put on low-key performances of their 2013 song “Like” from their debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool and “Just One Day” from their 2014 EP Skool Luv Affair. Both songs are classics from BTS’s discography, and it was a pleasant surprise for ARMY to see the songs performed.

“Just one day remains superior i don’t make the rules,” tweeted a fan.

BTS performed their sub-unit songs from ‘Map of the Soul: 7’

After performing their old hits, BTS broke off into sub-units and performed songs from their most recent album Map of the Soul: 7. “Bang Bang Con The Live” marked the first time ARMY ever saw the songs performed, a special treat for fans who tuned into the livestream.

Jin, J-Hope, and Jungkook performed “Jamais Vu,” a song originally released on BTS’s 2019 EP Map of the Soul: Persona. Next, RM and Suga performed their song “Respect.” Jimin and V performed their duet “Friends.” After this, the members of BTS all took part in performing shortened versions of the rap line’s “UGH!” and the vocal line’s “00:00.”

“I can’t believe we got to experience jamais vu live,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

ARMY saw a remix of ‘Boy With Luv’ during ‘Bang Bang Con The Live’

After the sub-unit songs, BTS performed “Black Swan,” the first single released from Map of the Soul: 7. Next, the group performed a remix of “Boy With Luv,” the lead single from Map of the Soul: Persona. In addition to remixing the song, BTS changed the choreography some and incorporated light-up umbrellas as props.

“THIS IS THE BEST BOY WITH LUV PERFORMANCE AND THEREFORE BWL SUPERIOR LOOK HOW COOL THE UMBRELLAS ARE??? #BangBangConTheLive,” wrote a Twitter user.

BTS closed ‘Bang Bang Con The Live’ with ‘Spring Day’

Following “Boy With Luv,” BTS performed “Go Go” and “Anpanman” from their Love Yourself era. The group delivered heartfelt ending ments to all the fans watching around the world, and assured them that they will be able to meet face-to-face when the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is over.

For the encore of “Bang Bang Con The Live,” BTS performed “Spring Day.” The song is perhaps the most comforting song in BTS’s discography, and deals with themes of loss and moving on. Given the times, fans found “Spring Day” to be the perfect ending to BTS’s “Bang Bang Con The Live.”

“They sang spring day at the end to tell us that we’ll be able to see each other again very soon when a new season starts and i think that’s beautiful and true #BangBangConTheLive,” wrote a fan on Twitter.
