V hinted he would make a mixtape months ago

Over the past several months, V has dedicated himself to songwriting and developing his artistry. In August 2019, he released his solo song “Winter Bear” and an accompanying music video. In May 2020, V hinted he might release a mixtape while playing an online game.

“I wrote several songs. Please anticipate it,” V wrote in a chatroom message according to a fan translation.

His second post read, “I should release a mixtape.”

The BTS singer is officially releasing a mixtape

A few hours after posting a sneak peek of his song on Twitter, V deleted the tweet. However, ARMY will hopefully not have to wait long to hear the official version. This is because V confirmed with BTS fans on May 15, 2020 that he is officially working on a mixtape.

The singer appeared on Suga’s radio show on VLIVE called “DJ SHUP-D’s Kkul FM 06.13 #0613FM_0515.” During the radio show, V told Suga he was working on music for BTS’s upcoming self-produced album and his own mixtape.

V also told BTS fans the mixtape will include a song he wrote for Parents’ Day because he wants fans to hear it too. Since Suga has released two mixtapes under his second stage name Agust D, he asked V if the singer planned to use a different stage name for his mixtape to differentiate his solo work from his work in BTS. V responded that he needed to finish his songs before he could decide that.
