Celebrity Big Brother 3 had a live finale, and there were a few bumps in the road. Julie Chen Moonves awkwardly gave the signal to the rest of the cast they can celebrate. One of them explained why they weren’t quick to hug the winner and runner-up.

The celebrities were awkward on the ‘Celebrity Big Brother 3’ finale

The finale showed the jurors sitting on stage for the episode. Things got a little awkward during Todrick Hall’s speech because multiple jurors were mad at him. Todd Bridges rolled his eyes while he talked. The jurors then voted and some of them took that moment to insult Hall.

“One of your favorite movies is Wizard of Oz, but you forgotten that we can see behind the curtain. So I’m going to choose the lesser of two evils,” Teddi Mellencamp said.

“Congratulations, guys. Came into this house to try to leave with integrity so this is for my son who’d had me do it no other way. Congratulations,” Chris Kirkpatrick said.

“The one thing this vote ensures is that I will not ever have to hear your voice again,” Shanna Moakler said.

Moonves then revealed Miesha Tate won the majority of votes, making Hall runner-up. When Tate and Hall joined the jurors on the stage, no one got up. Moonves had to tell the jurors they could get up for them to move.

Some fans assumed it was because they weren’t happy for Tate and Hall. But Kressley gave another reason for it.

Many fans noticed how awkward the cast was with each other on stage. But Carson Kressley shed a little light on filming with Us Weekly.

“It was definitely a lukewarm room and I think part of it – to give you background and insider scoop – is that we’re working also under COVID protocol,” Kressley explained. “And they said when the people first come out, don’t get in their shot. And I was still thinking of like when we first got out of the house, we weren’t allowed to hug Julie [Chen Moonves] because it was like also COVID protocol.”

“Like, don’t go near anybody,” he continued. “So I think that for me, it was like, ‘Oh, can we get up?’ I don’t know for other people. I don’t know why they were like, you know, sitting there. But these people won essentially, and they deserve some recognition.”

The past few seasons of Big Brother have been filmed during the pandemic. Houseguests get tested regularly because of this, there is no audience for the eviction episodes, and houseguests aren’t allowed to get too close to Moonves throughout the season.
