Fans might get a voice when deciding the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 3 due to Chris Kattan’s self-eviction. The comedian is reportedly not a member of the jury, possibly opening the door for a fan vote.

Chris Kattan self evicted on Day 24 of ‘Celebrity Big Brother 3’

51-year-old comedian Chris Kattan entered the Big Brother house on Day 1 but was left out of the alliances as he spent most of his time in the room.

He landed on the block during the next round when then-HOH Chris Kirkpatrick nominated him alongside target Mirai Nagasu.

As the Olympic figure skater wanted to continue competing, Kattan encouraged his houseguests to save her instead of him during his eviction speech. However, they unanimously sent Mirai out the door.

After her eviction, the houseguests competed in the next Head of Household competition, and Kattan approached Miesha Tate about her upcoming nominations, hoping to see his face. She didn’t nominate him, and the comedian ended up quitting that round.

Fans might get a vote since he isn’t a member of the jury

Us Weekly editor Sharon Tharp tweeted that CBS confirmed to her that Kattan wouldn’t return for finale night to cast a vote for the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 3.

Every person who gets evicted this season, including first boot Teddi Mellencamp, is a jury member. Presumably due to Kattan’s self-eviction, only eight houseguests are eligible to vote as jurors.

However, an even number gives way for a tie, which can’t exist when determining the winner. Therefore, it’s possible the fans might cast a vote for who they want to win the title.

Similar to America’s Favorite Houseguest, the finalist who has the most votes from the public will receive one vote. CBS hasn’t yet confirmed a fan vote to the public.

Kattan revealed why he quit in a recent interview

The Feb. 11 episode addressed Kattan’s exit, showing the comedian telling Kirkpatrick he wanted to go home before entering the Diary Room.

Kattan left goodbye messages for the houseguests but didn’t open up about his decision until a Feb. 14 interview with ET Canada. According to the 51-year-old, he had “family issues” back home before entering the competition as his stepfather recently fell ill.

Why Chris Kattan Left ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Season 3

Kattan explained he had a “difficult time” with the rules prohibiting him from outside contact and wanted to leave due to it as he would have liked to communicate with his family. Regardless of his choice to walk away from the show, the comedian claimed he had a “great time” and noted he “made friends for life” with houseguests Carson Kressley, Miesha Tate, and Lamar Odom.

Additionally, Kattan pointed out that he left without having to betray any of the new friendships he recently made by turning on anyone, adding, “relationships were more important than winning the game.” The comedian also gave an update on his stepfather, noting his health is currently doing “OK.” Celebrity Big Brother 3 airs on CBS.
