Julie Chen Moonves reveals ‘Celebrity Big Brother 3’ spoilers regarding first-day ‘drama’

On Jan. 26, a week before the highly anticipated third season of Celebrity Big Brother aired, executive producer Allison Grodner hinted that the cast had already moved into the house.

Host Julie Chen Moonves confirmed it in a Feb. 1 interview with Parade when she teased a bit of “drama” that has already happened. Answering Mike Bloom, who asked about the current “general mood,” the host began by claiming she hoped “they got a plumber.”

Moonves then noted she already has access to the Live Feeds that became available to her after the celebrities moved in. According to the host, she “lost 45 minutes of sleep” due to watching an argument unfold over first dibs on the shower. Moonves said the dramatic interaction happens after the “messy” first challenge, which she confirmed as endurance-based.

Still speaking on the “general mood” of the house, the television personality noted the players have begun making deals they might have already reneged on. “I won’t use the words not being honored,” she explained. “But things shift.” Moonves also teased that the first week follows the show’s motto of “expected the unexpected” but “times ten.”

The ‘CBB3’ cast moved in a week ahead of the Feb. 2 premiere

CBS’s official Twitter account released a two-and-a-half-minute video of Moonves leaving hints regarding the 11 stars who would compete on the upcoming season of Celebrity Big Brother.

With clues including a former NBA player who had known connections to a “family of reality TV stars,” a famous Housewife, and a singing and dancing “idol,” many fans thought they had already figured out several of the cast members before its release that night.

Shortly after the clip went live, Grodner tweeted, “the celebs are in the house,” seemingly confirming the group has already moved in, dashing viewers’ hopes that this season would include a live move-in as the last two seasons.

She also noted, “the game is on, and alliances are forming,” pointing out the cast has begun strategizing.

Moonves says ‘Celebrity Big Brother 3’ will feature twice-a-week evictions

In a Jan. 31 interview with Us Magazine, the host teased viewers could look forward to “the fastest season of Big Brother ever,” as it would include twice-a-week evictions.

During some weeks, fans might see three stars get evicted from the BB house. Moonves also revealed her pre-season winner picks as Todrick Hall or Carson Kressley, who she also named the potential masterminds of the house, or pageant beauty Shanna Moakler.
