Four-time competitor Janelle Pierzina is ‘rooting’ for Shanna Moakler

Nearly four months after revealing Celebrity Big Brother would return for its third season after a two-year break, the cast was released.

Former NBA player Lamar Odom, Real Housewives Teddi Mellencamp and Cynthia Bailey, and pageant queen Shanna Moakler were among the familiar faces that would face off in season 3.

Popular player Janelle Pierzina, who has also launched a podcast covering CBB3 alongside BB15’s McCrae Olson, tweeted she planned on “rooting” for Moakler. “I really liked Shanna Moakler when I met her,” Pierzina included.

A few of her followers responded with their excitement to watch the former pageant queen compete, noting they thought she would bring drama to the season.

Moakler made headlines for her relationships; especially her marriage to Travis Barker

After experiencing success in beauty pageants, Moakler, 46, got into acting, appearing in Pacific Blue for two seasons. She began getting into high-profile relationships, much of which made discussion topics in the media.

In 1997, she dated boxer Oscar De La Hoya, and they had a daughter together in 1999. After the relationship publicly fell apart, her multi-million dollar palimony suit against him continued to make headlines. In 2004, the pageant queen married Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, and the couple welcomed two kids.

The media also heavily documented the deterioration of their marriage as she accused him of having an affair with socialite Paris Hilton, leading to an alleged physical altercation between the ladies. Following a 2014 argument that resulted in the police responding, the former couple claimed they are on good terms and are raising their child as co-parents.

However, Moakler recently began throwing shade at his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. As she’s known for speaking her mind, some followers think her candidness will stir up drama or help her in the competition.

Pierzina previously competed in four seasons of ‘Big Brother’

In 2005, Pierzina debuted on BB6, where she won two Head of Household and two Power of Veto competitions to secure her spot in the finals. However, she barely missed the Final Two seats, placing third.

The fan-favorite came back for season 7, along with a cast full of returnees, in which she set a record for the most individual competitions won in a season.

Despite making a few mistakes, her historic wins got her to the finals, where she again became the final jury member of the jury. This time, Pierzina also received the first-ever $25,000 America’s Favorite Houseguest award.

Following her first appearances, the popular player failed to make the jury phase in her last two seasons as her impressive resume prevented others from working with her. Celebrity Big Brother premieres on Feb. 2, 2022, on CBS.
