Chicago Med’s Natalie Manning is sinking deeper into her lies. Meanwhile, Dean Archer faces an accusation that could end his career at the hospital. Find out what happens next on Chicago Med.

Natalie is tangled in a web of lies on ‘Chicago Med’

During Chicago Med Season 6 Episode 14, Natalie continues to lie about what she did. In an earlier episode (Chicago Med Season 6 Episode 12, titled “Some Things Are Worth the Risk”), Natalie stole a package with pills from Will Halstead’s cardiac trial.

Natalie gave the pills to her mother in the hopes that her heart would start pumping better. Unfortunately, her mother starts experiencing side effects from the pills and her health gets progressively worse. Despite this bump in the road, Natalie tries her best to hide the theft.

Also in this episode, third-year medical students begin their emergency department rotation. One of the students is Maggie’s daughter Vanessa, who she gave up for adoption when she was a teenager. During episode 13, Maggie met her daughter, but she didn’t tell her that she is her birth mother. Our guess is that it’s just a matter of time before Vanessa realizes who Maggie really is.

Dean Archer could be in trouble

Archer (Steven Weber) is known for going his own way, but this time he might get in trouble for it. A patient comes into the emergency department who seems paranoid. The patient tells April nothing is real and we are all part of a “computer simulation.”

In another scene, April talks to Archer about the patient’s wishes and questions him about going against what the patient wants. “This guy’s a box of loose screws,” says Archer during a sneak preview. He’s later seen saying they can force treatment.

It appears Archer is trying to force a patient to have surgery because Choi later has a heated discussion with him about making the patient get an operation against his will. “Why would I risk my job?” says Archer. We don’t know if Archer really did force the surgery, but if he did, it’s likely he won’t be around for long.

Who plays Natalie Manning on ‘Chicago Med’?

Dr. Natalie Manning is played by actor Torrey DeVitto. One of her early acting roles was in a 2003 episode of Dawson’s Creek titled “Lovelines.” That same year, she appeared on the comedy Scrubs. In 2005, she became a series regular on Beautiful People, in which she played Karen Kerr until 2006. DeVitto has also had roles on One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries, Army Wives, and Pretty Little Liars.

What else is happening in the ‘One Chicago’ universe

During Chicago Fire Season 9 Episode 14 (titled “What Comes Next”), Stella will receive the results of her lieutenant exam. She was on edge while she waited the final decision. After her exam, Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) asks how Stella thinks she performed. However, she couldn’t give a solid answer. The testers wore their best poker faces, so there’s no way of telling how she did.

Also in this episode, Firehouse 51 responds to a pet food factory fire. Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Severide try to help Pete, the factory owner, solve the mystery of how the fire got started. The annual firehouse garage sale also takes place in this episode, and everyone is a bit nervous about it.

Chicago Med airs Wednesdays on NBC at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
