Together, Chloe and Halle Bailey perform songs like “Do It” and “Don’t Make it Harder On Me.” These sisters also enjoy successful solo projects. For Halle Bailey, that includes starring in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.

Halle Bailey stars as Ariel in Disney’s live-action adaptation of ‘The Little Mermaid’

It’s almost time to travel under the sea with Ariel, Flounder, and all of their friends. Following the release of Disney’s live-action Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella, this company announced they would be creating a live-action version of The Little Mermaid.

This remake stars Halle Bailey of the sister duo Chloe X Halle as the title character. However, Disney has not confirmed whether or not Chloe Bailey will have a role in the film.

Will Chloe Bailey appear in Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’?

Halle Bailey will star in Disney’s live-action adaptation, but some fans are wondering if Chloe Bailey, Halle’s older sister, will play a role in The Little Mermaid. There are even a few roles that fans potentially see this actor tackling.

According to The DisInsider, Disney started casting Ariel’s sisters in January 2020, although no one has been confirmed for these supporting roles. Still, some fans hoped that Chloe Bailey, Keke Palmer, and even Zendaya could be considered.

Most likely, Chloe Bailey will not appear alongside her sister in Disney’s film. That’s mostly due to the fact that this musician has been producing and recording original content. That includes her version of “Have Mercy,” released in September 2021.

These sisters also shared their love and support for each other while separated. Sometimes the duo chatted over Instagram Live while Halle Bailey was living abroad.

“She is overseas killing it and I’m just so proud of her,” Chloe Bailey said of her younger sister during an interview with ET Online. “She’s doing her thing over there and I’m doing my thing over here and I can’t wait to come back together.”

The two reunited for the MTV VMAs, where Chloe Bailey performed as a solo artist.

Other actors and singers, including the “Truth Hearts” artist Lizzo, expressed their desire to act alongside Halle Bailey in this live-action adaptation. Actor Garrett Clayton tweeted, “congrats to Halle Bailey on the new Little Mermaid movie! You’re going to be amazing! (If you need a Prince Eric I volunteer as tribute.”
