What is ‘A Tail of Love’ about?
In A Tail of Love, McNally plays JR, a soldier who has returned home to handle the sale of his family’s dog food company. Bristow plays a woman named Bella who runs a dog rescue with her grandmother Lily (Jayne Eastwood). The rescue was a passion project for Bella’s late grandfather and has long been supported by the dog food company. Now that the company is being sold, the rescue’s future has been thrown into doubt.
Here’s the official synopsis:
While visiting the rescue, JR quickly bonds with Indie, a retired military dog, and continues to stop by to spend time with his new, four-legged friend. When Bella learns that the rescue’s property is also being sold, she turns to JR for help in finding the missing document proving her grandparents purchased the land many years before. In the process, Bella and JR become close and start to fall for each other, but JR’s upcoming return to active duty could put a halt to their budding romance.
How to watch ‘A Tail of Love’
A Tail of Love premieres April 23 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel. The movie is part of the network’s “Spring Into Love” programming event. It will air again on April 24 at 6 p.m., April 28 at 8 p.m., May 1 at 12 p.m., and May 7 at 4 p.m.

In addition to When Calls the Heart, McNally has appeared in several Hallmark movies, including Snowkissed, Sailing Into Love, The Sweetest Heart, and A Winter Princess. He’s also been seen in V.C. Andrews’ Heaven on Lifetime and Altered Carbon. He’s also set to play a character named Mr. Waverly in Firefly Lane Season 2 on Netflix.
Bristow has appeared in multiple movies for Hallmark Channel, including Love Blossoms, Royal Matchmaker, Christmas Next Door, Love on Safari, Christmas at the Palace, Holiday Date, and Love, Romance & Chocolate.
