Chrissy Teigen is a celebrity chef, author, supermodel. She’s also the wife of singer John Legend, with whom she has two kids. She is beloved for her sassy attitude and quick wit, and fans greatly appreciate her unfiltered take on what it is like to be a celebrity — warts and all.

Teigen is very active on social media, especially Twitter, and can be very interactive with her followers, answering questions that many other stars might shy away from. Recently, Teigen took to Twitter for an impromptu question and answer session, during which she revealed that many celebrities take advantage of a special perk when they are traveling — a perk that most people probably aren’t aware of.

On December 8th, Teigen decided to open up a special “celebrity Q&A” on Twitter, where she stated she would answer questions specifically related to being a celebrity and the perks (and pitfalls) of fame. Teigen’s followers were quick to bombard her with questions, many of them incredibly insightful and funny.

One follower asked what the “best perk of being a celebrity” was, and Teigen’s answer was surprisingly relatable: “no one gives my kids nasty looks on the plane. if anything, they’re creepily nice and it is crazy unfair because they are just as annoying as other kids on a plane.”

She also revealed that she and Legend have four nannies and a roster of household staff that help them to get things done around their house. Teigen said that she doesn’t cut the line in restaurants, and makes reservations like most people. She stated that she does miss being able to go to the grocery store like most “normal” people, and usually has her assistant make grocery runs for her — but she still goes to the store by herself, on occasion.

Chrissy Teigen revealed celebrity airport secrets

Possibly the most interesting celebrity secret that Teigen revealed during her Twitter Q&A is the fact that she and Legend, as well as many other unnamed celebs, navigate the airport via a private, exclusive entrance. When a Twitter follower asked her how “most celebrities travel on planes,” Teigen responded: “there is a terminal a mile from the airport that you pay membership for. they do the same security privately and take you to the plane in a car. I know. I know.”

It seems as though Teigen was referring to LAX’s Private Suite, a luxury terminal that is removed from the hustle and bustle from the standard airport crowd. Members of the Private Suite don’t have to go through the usual airport security or wait in line to check their bags. Instead, they deal directly with a small staff of specially trained people, who help them to get from the suite to their plane.

How much does the Private Suite at LAX cost?

Although the Private Suite’s website advertises that “anyone can become a member,” it is clear that the service is designed specifically for celebrities. There is an annual membership fee of $4,500, plus additional charges for the flight itself. Members can enjoy perks such as a concierge doctor on call, exclusive meals and snacks while waiting for a flight, complimentary valet and car cleaning service, and in-suite manicures, haircuts, and massages.

While everyone might not be ready to pony up the membership fee for the Private Suite, it’s certainly a nice perk for celebrities who want to avoid the stress (and the photographers) that often accompanies regular airport visits. Although now, since Teigen’s tweet, more and more people might decide to pay a little bit extra for a taste of the good life.
