What are the fan-favorite Coldplay songs?

This band has been releasing music for over a decade, earning thousands of fans in the process. According to a reader poll from Rolling Stone, the “best” Coldplay song is “The Scientist,” which makes sense considering its significance to fans and Martin.

During one concert, according to a fan on Song Facts, the artist explicitly stated that the 2002 release is about his sister — the scientist of his family. What makes “The Scientist” special, though, is that it applies to different situations. Posted to YouTube in 2011, this music video holds almost a billion views and over 4.5 million likes.

The second fan-favorite song, according to the same poll, is the 2005 release, “Fix You.” This song served as a beacon of hope and inspiration for fans, especially during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

When it comes to the Coldplay songs with the most streams on Spotify, songs like “Something Just Like This,” “The Scientist,” and “Yellow” come out on top, each holding over 945 million plays on the music platform.

“Viva La Vida” earned the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. “In My Place” won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. “Something Just Like This” earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

When it comes to the most popular Coldplay music video, several productions hold over a billion views on the video platform, YouTube. That includes “Hymn for the Weekend,” “Paradise,” and “Adventure of a Lifetime.”

Recently, Coldplay collaborated with the award-winning K-pop group, BTS

As of October 2021, the top song on Coldplay’s Spotify page is “My Universe,” the band’s collaboration with BTS. This is the first time Martin and BTS met in person, as well as the first time they created music together. Within a few weeks of its release, this song earned over 50 million plays.

What is Martin’s favorite Coldplay song? According to Celebrity Fun Facts, the track that comes out on top is “Fix You.” During a 2015 interview with Entertainment Weekly, the artist shared his love for other songs by the band.

“It’s my favorite Coldplay song ever,” Martin said of “A Head Full of Dreams.” “It’s what I always dreamed of singing — now I’m allowed to do it.”

The “My Universe” music video, featuring BTS, is now available on YouTube. Music by Coldplay is available on most major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
