‘Counting On’: Jinger Duggar’s Dress She Posted to Instagram Might Be the Most Scandalous Outfit Yet
We’ve been following the Duggars for ages, and we know Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar had seriously strict rules for their 19 kids to follow. One of the major rules surrounded the dress code. The Duggar girls weren’t allowed to wear pants or tops that exposed their shoulders or chest growing up. But now that many of Jim Bob and Michelle’s kids are married and starting families of their own, they’re bending the rules.
Jinger Duggar lives in Los Angeles with Jeremy Vuolo and their daughter, Felicity. And she’s totally elevated her style with classic suits, pants, and sleeveless tops. It looks like Jinger might be wearing one of her most scandalous, non-Duggar outfits yet during her second pregnancy, too. Here’s what she posted to Instagram.
Jinger Duggar chose to step away from the traditional Duggar family dress code
Most of the older Duggar women are taking liberties with the way they dress. And Jinger even had a conversation with her parents regarding her decision to start wearing pants.
“I know a lot of people have had different speculations, or ideas, or whatever, about conflict between us over the matter of pants. We had conversations before I started wearing pants and just shared my heart with them where I saw the Lord leading me,” Jinger explained on Counting On. “I was really grateful for their response … they said just to walk with the Lord … and to seek to honor Him and to maintain modesty, and so I think I’m really grateful for their hearts and how they’ve just instilled that in us kids.”
So, what does Michelle think of this decision? She seems fine with it as long as Jinger continues to follow what God is telling her in her heart.

Jinger’s Instagram might be the most curated of any of the Duggars. It’s clear she’s going for an influencer lifestyle, as she’s tried her hand at multiple sponsorships. And thanks to her consistent posts, fans are seeing the evolution of her personal style as well.
Now that Jinger’s pregnant with baby No. 2, fans are also going to see plenty of updated maternity outfits. And the one posted on June 15 is certainly turning heads. Jinger posted a photo of herself cradling her baby bump while adorned in a short-sleeved green dress. The dress also hits right above the knees and features a V-neckline, which certainly would never be allowed if she still lived under her parents’ roof.
When asked where she got the dress, Jinger answered that it’s from Seraphine Maternity. The company appears to be well-worn by celebrities, too.
Many think it’s her most scandalous outfit yet
Jinger’s getting tons of compliments on her outfit from fans via Instagram. But Duggar family critics are wondering what her family might think, as the neckline of this particular dress might be the lowest we’ve ever seen.
“That’s possibly the lowest neckline I’ve seen on a Duggar daughter,” one Reddit user noted.
“This legit looks like a dress I would wear to visit my grandma, but I realize it is practically the equivalent of a thigh-skimming body-con dress to these people,” another wrote.
Another Reddit user added that the Duggar daughters seem to show off more of their bodies during their pregnancies.
“Well she is pregnant,” another user wrote. “Their modesty standards get lowered substantially when it comes to showing off their pregnancy.”
“I find it strange how they always show more skin while pregnant,” another added. “If all men need constant supervision to control themselves, why do they let their guard down at their most vulnerable?”
Regardless of how fans, critics, or the other Duggars feel about Jinger’s dress, we’re loving how she’s going out on a limb and trying something new. We hope to see plenty more of it!
