Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have 19 kids in total, and they were all featured at one point or another on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting or Counting On. Now, the older Duggars can be followed on Instagram. And Jim Bob and Michelle are always sure to give their children a quick shoutout on their birthdays.

Recently, Jana Duggar and her twin, John-David Duggar, had birthdays. But the Duggar Family Instagram didn’t post about it. And critics of the family think they know why.

The Duggar Family Instagram wishes all the Duggar kids a happy birthday

Having 19 kids is far more than the average American family, but Jim Bob and Michelle are sure to reserve a few photos and some kind words for each of their kids’ birthdays. Aside from photos from family events, the Duggar Instagram is full of sweet birthday shout-outs. And the Instagram looks like it’s run by Michelle.

The last birthday post added to Instagram was for Jedidiah and Jeremiah Duggar. The twins celebrated their 22nd birthday on Dec. 30. And a few sweet words were posted about each twin in the post.

Prior to that, it was Jordyn’s birthday. Jordyn turned 12 on Dec. 18, and it seems she got to have the glorious and iconic Chocolate Mess dessert from the MarketPlace Grill. The Duggars are known for going to the MarketPlace Grill and getting this sweet dish for nearly every birthday they celebrate.

The birthday celebrated prior to Jordyn’s was Josie’s. Josie is the youngest of 19 and turned 11 on Dec. 10. And she also received a sweet shoutout on the Instagram page with a look back on her scary and uncertain birth.

Critics think this is why the Instagram skipped out on Jana Duggar’s birthday

Jana is the oldest of the Duggar daughters, and she still lives at home with Jim Bob and Michelle. On Jan. 12, she and John-David turned 31. But there doesn’t seem to be a birthday post on the Instagram page dedicated to Jana just yet.

It seems Duggar family critics have some theories regarding why there’s no shout-out to Jana or John-David, especially when Jana lives with her parents. And it seems they suspect Jana is actually the one who writes all of the birthday Instagram posts.

“It would be in poor taste for Jana to write her own gushing praises,” a Reddit user wrote.

“Hopefully this isn’t because Jana was too busy making her own birthday cake … but we can’t be sure,” another wrote.

Others noticed that the Duggar Family Instagram tends to forget birthdays on occasion, so they’ll likely make up for the missed post later.

Jana Duggar Once Admitted All of the Duggars Worried About Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard: ‘It Makes Us Pray a Lot More’

While the Duggar Family Instagram didn’t give Jana an obligatory birthday shoutout, Jill Duggar did. Jill is notoriously on the outs with her famous family, as she’s told fans her reasons for stepping away from Counting On and not attending big family events. And she doesn’t wish all of her brothers and sisters happy birthdays on social media. But she created a special post just for Jana and John-David.

Jill posted a photo from her childhood showing her, Jana, and John-David playing on a swing set. “Throwback to many years ago (L to R: Jill, Jana, John),” Jill captioned the post. “I laugh a little at this pic because, believe it or not, it displays our personalities at the time pretty well … John and I just chilling and Jana all over the place! Happy birthday you two!”

Perhaps Jim Bob and Michelle will provide Jana and John-David with a birthday shoutout a few days late. We’ll have to wait and see if they get recognition.
