Things have only gotten more intense for Dexter Morgan as Dexter: New Blood continues. So far, the revival has revealed that Dexter isn’t the only serial killer living in Iron Lake, New York. Kurt Caldwell is exactly the type of man Dexter used to butcher in Maimi, and it looks like he’s starting to become aware of that fact. The promo for Dexter: New Blood Episode 7 teased Dexter and Kurt’s game of cat and mouse will only become more intense.

Kurt Caldwell’s true nature is revealed in ‘Dexter: New Blood’

When he lived in Miami, Dexter Morgan was a frequent serial killer of other serial killers. He followed a strict code that required him to never kill an innocent and he followed it religiously (most of the time). Ten years after the events of the Dexter finale, Dexter is living in Iron Lake, New York, a small town where violent crimes seem to be a rare occurrence.

Little do the townspeople know that two serial killers are living in their midst. Kurt seems like a pillar of the community, but he has been abducting and killing runaway young women for years. Although Dexter has had his suspicions about Kurt for a while, he now knows that Kurt can’t be trusted. A cat-and-mouse game between Dexter and a prolific serial killer is finally beginning again.

Dexter will likely begin planning Kurt’s end in episode 7

Dexter has known for a while that Kurt lied about his son Matt Caldwell being alive. However, it looks like in Dexter: New Blood Episode 7, Dexter will finally understand the extent of Kurt’s crimes. In the previous episode, Angela investigated caves within the town, where she suspected Kurt was hiding something. She ended up finding the body of her friend Iris who disappeared years ago.

Angela Bishop now knows Dexter is a forensics expert. The promo for episode 7 shows her calling him to help her learn what she can about her friend’s death. Dexter will likely put two and two together and realize that Kurt is the most plausible culprit. From there, Dexter will no doubt want to put an end to Kurt.

One clip in the promo for Dexter: New Blood Episode 7 shows Kurt and Dexter sitting down to talk. “You know there was a time when I thought you and I would be friends,” says Kurt. “Except you kill innocent women and I kill guys like you,” Dexter thinks.

Dexter has even more reason to want to put an end to Kurt considering he has been getting too close to Harrison. In episode 6, Kurt encouraged Harrison to hurt another student during a wrestling match. Whether Kurt wants to train Harrison to be a killer or make him his victim, Dexter can’t let either of those things happen.

When does ‘Dexter: New Blood’ Episode 7 air?
