Before she was lip-syncing against Olivia Lux on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Rosé was performing alongside drag legends Lagoona and Jan in the girl group, Stephanie’s Child.

The group even made it to reality competition series’ like America’s Got Talent and The Voice. Here’s what we know about this season 13 drag queen.

Rosé is one of the competitors on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 13

Fans are one week closer to finding out who is “America’s Next Drag Superstar.” The 13 queens competing in this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race include Denali, Elliott with 2 Ts, Gottmilk, Joey Jay, Kahmora Hall, Kandy Muse, Lala Bi, Olivia Lux, Symone, Tamisha Iman, Tina Burner, Utica Queen, and, of course, Rosé. 

Throughout the season, the queens will have a chance to showcase their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. As a legendary New York City queen and no stranger to reality television, drag performer Rosé is ready to slay the competition.

“I’m trying to loosen up the audience to get them to laugh both at me and with me. And also, I’m going to sweat,” Rosé said of her live performances during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “If you’re sitting in the front row, you’re in the splash zone, baby. Of course, live vocals and sickening looks, but probably with a couple of nails hanging off for dear life. The sweat is more apparent and more common than the vocals.”

Prior to competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Rosé was a member of the group Stephanie’s Child, who performed in drag on America’s Got Talent. After receiving serious criticism from Simon Cowell, they didn’t make it to the final round of the series. 

In this girl group was also Jan, a former contestant on season 12. Although she made a splash with her live vocals and her love for the “rusical” episode, Jan was eliminated from RuPaul’s Drag Race. Don’t worry, Rosé reassured the judge’s that she wouldn’t suffer the same fate as her fellow performer.

Rosé and Stephanie’s Child competed on ‘The Voice’ in drag

Although Stephanie’s Child didn’t win America’s Got Talent, they did earn get to perform alongside Jessie J on the reality competition series, The Voice. Alongside their mentor, Jan, Rosé, and Lagoona performed the song “Bang, Bang.” They also didn’t win the series, they did earn the admiration of fans worldwide.

Although these performers appeared on several reality shows, they also do live shows together periodically. As New York City-based drag queens, Stephanie’s Child also performed the National Anthem at World Pride in NYC.

New episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race, some episodes featuring Stephanie’s Child performer Rosé, premiere on a weekly basis on VH1.
