Disney Channel Series, ‘A.N.T. Farm,’ Joins the Disney+ Streaming Library This June
These super-talented students are making the switch to Disney’s streaming platform. After months of anticipation, this Disney Channel original series will be available for Disney+ subscribers. Here’s what we know about A.N.T. Farm and the adorable announcement from cast members China Anne McClain and Jake Short.
‘AN.T. Farm’ is coming to Disney’s streaming platform
We’ve finally got it. It’s not exactly easy being in a program for super-smart kids. There are, however, a lot of perks. Viewers learn that firsthand thanks to the Disney Channel series, A.N.T. Farm, which takes viewers inside the halls of high school. Now, this series is officially making the switch to Disney’s streaming platform, titled Disney+.
“A.N.T Farm is officially coming to Disney+,” China Anne McClain shared in an Instagram video with Jake Short, which was met with over 40,000 likes in just a few days. A number of followers shared their excitement in the comments section. That includes some A.N.T. Farm cast members.
“That guy looks like he needs a shave and a haircut,” Jake Short joked in the comments section. Every episode of this Disney Channel original series will debut on Disney’s streaming platform on June 26.
‘A.N.T. Farm’ was originally a Disney Channel original series
Originally released during 2011, this Disney Channel original series features members in one school’s “Advanced Natural Talents” program, also known as the A.N.T. Farm. One of those students was teenager Chyna Parks, portrayed by Descendants 2’s China Anne McClain. Other actors in the series include Jake Short.
According to Pirates and Princesses, “the show had 62 episodes, and three special episodes, over 3 seasons,” which makes it comparable to Disney Channel original series’ including Sonny With a Chance and Liv and Maddie. All three seasons will be added to Disney’s streaming platform during June.
China Anne McClain since starred in a few other Disney Channel projects, including ‘Descendants’
This A.N.T. Farm-related announcement comes hot off the heels of the Artemis Fowl trailer, an original movie that will also be available on Disney’s streaming platform. Other movies featuring China Anne McClain are already available for binge-watching. That includes Descendants 2 and Descendants 3, where the actress portrayed Ursula’s daughter, named Uma.
China Anne McClain also voiced the same character in the animated series, Wicked World, which ran from 2015-2017. Since then, that series made the switch to Disney’s streaming platform, as did a number of Disney Channel classics.
Many other Disney Channel original shows (and original movies,) including That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Hannah Montana are available with a subscription to Disney+.
