The possibilities for different cameos in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are endless. And the Doctor Strange 2 trailer already teased a few surprise guests that have fans excited for what’s to come. But one scene in the trailer provoked many to speculate that Kathryn Hahn might reprise her role as Agatha Harkness from WandaVision in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

Kathryn Hahn, in character as Agatha Harkness, who fans want to see in 'Doctor Strange 2' after seeing the trailer, wears a purple sweater and sits in a director's chair that reads "Agatha" on the back. Agatha sits behind a camera that records Wanda in the background.

Wanda returns to Westview in the ‘Doctor Strange 2’ trailer

The Doctor Strange 2 trailer gave fans a good look at what Wanda Maximoff has been up to since she left Westview. And after all that she has been through in the MCU, it is no surprise that Wanda is not doing well. And although she feels immense remorse for what she did in WandaVision, Wanda is also angry.

At one point in the video, Wanda tells Doctor Strange, “You break the rules and become a hero. I do it, and I become the enemy. That doesn’t seem fair.”

While she says this, the Doctor Strange 2 trailer shows Wanda back at her home in Westview, which appears to have been torn through. But this time, there are two versions of her. One is dressed as the Scarlet Witch, while the other is dressed as Wanda. The Scarlet Witch sits on the floor crying while the other Wanda approaches her and caresses her face.

Wanda might also see Agatha Harkness while visiting Westview in the ‘Doctor Strange 2’ trailer

The last time fans saw Agatha Harkness was in the WandaVision finale. Wanda defeated the evil witch and rid her of her magic. Then, she used a spell to turn Agatha into the Westview persona she created for herself — Agnes, the nosy neighbor.

Since Wanda appears to return to Westview in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer, she might run into Agatha. Given the other Easter eggs fans found in the video and the Doctor Strange 2 poster, it wouldn’t be surprising if Kathryn Hahn made a cameo in the MCU movie.

Of course, Wanda’s magic and power are infinite. It’s plausible that she is bending reality in the scene from the trailer and that she doesn’t actually visit Westview. But Elizabeth Olsen’s interview with Variety after the WandaVision finale may prove how much of a role Westview plays in the Doctor Strange sequel.

“I tried, as much as I could, almost less so to have [Doctor Strange 2] affect WandaVision as have WandaVision affect [Doctor Strange 2],” Olsen shared. “I think that’s really been where the connection is. It’s almost like we’re trying to make sure that everything is honoring what we did [on the show].”

Perhaps Wanda is visiting Westview in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer, and fans could see Agatha Harkness in the upcoming film.

Agatha Harkness is the focus of a new Disney+ show

Even if Agatha Harkness doesn’t appear in Doctor Strange 2 after Wanda seemingly visits Westview in the trailer, fans will see the witch again in the MCU.

Disney announced that Kathryn Hahn would star as Agatha Harkness in the Marvel Disney+ series Agatha: House of Harkness. It will serve as a spinoff of WandaVision. And Jac Schaeffer, who was the head writer of WandaVision, will write and executive produce Agatha: House of Harkness.

Marvel has not yet announced a release date for the spinoff. But we know that the studio is describing it as a dark comedy. And until Marvel releases more information about Agatha: House of Harkness, fans can speculate about Hahn reprising her role in the Doctor Strange sequel.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premieres exclusively in theaters on May 6.
