Josh Duggar is the latest Duggar family member to cause a stir. The TLC star was arrested in April 2021, and it has fans and critics wondering what will happen next. Aside from his recent arrest, he was involved in serious scandals of the past. So, does Josh still attend major family events, like his siblings’ weddings? Here’s what we know.

If there’s any Duggar family member the most notorious for scandal, it’s Josh Duggar. As the oldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 kids, he was thrust into the spotlight young — and he came down hard in 2015. The media leaked Josh allegedly molested a few of his younger sisters years prior, causing the Duggars to speak out about the situation.

Not only that, but Anna Duggar, Josh’s wife, also dealt with scandal. He had an account with the cheating website Ashley Madison, nearly costing him his marriage.

“It is such a betrayal,” Anna said at the time. “It was hard to realize that it was such a public thing. Not only was it a betrayal against me, but it was also a betrayal against those who call themselves Christians.”

More recently, Josh was arrested on April 29, 2021, for receiving and possessing child pornography, Us Weekly reports. He pleaded not guilty and will begin his trial in July.

Does Josh Duggar go to his siblings’ weddings?

The Duggar family has done their best to move away from Josh’s scandals of the past. While they addressed the 2015 molestation allegations, they were able to save their standing with TLC by doing away with 19 Kids and Counting and rebranding their show as Counting On. Now, they focus on the other aspects that make their family so well-known to the public, like their quick courtships and huge weddings.

So, does Josh Duggar go to his siblings’ weddings? While the Duggars don’t focus on his appearances at weddings, it seems he does. On April 10, the Duggar Family Instagram posted a photo of all the Duggar siblings together at Justin Duggar’s wedding. Josh is seen in the large sibling group photo and the smaller photo next to Justin.

It’s likely Josh was also at Jed Duggar’s secret wedding. Jed quietly married Katey Nakatsu without telling the media, and fans and critics were notified after his big day.

Aside from weddings, it seems Josh also takes part in family events. In March 2020, Anna posted photos of Josh from his Duggar family birthday party at a bowling alley. The couple also typically attends the large Christmas celebration.

Is he still on ‘Counting On’?

Josh Duggar Arrest: What We Know So Far

So, is Josh Duggar still on Counting On? He’s not — and he likely never will be. People notes 19 Kids and Counting was canceled after the abuse scandal in 2015 came to light. The public put pressure on the network to get rid of Duggars, particularly Josh, after the scandal. While Jill and Jessa Duggar came forward to talk about how they were personally affected and how they forgive their older brother, fans were less forgiving.

The first episode of Counting On aired December 2015. There was no Josh in sight. Instead, the new show focused on Jill, Jessa, and the rest of Jim Bob and Michelle’s younger kids.

Now, it’s unclear if Counting On will continue. Anna occasionally still makes appearances on the show, but given the arrest, we’re not sure if she’ll stay in the spotlight. So far, it doesn’t look like TLC has any immediate plans to green light another season.
