‘Don’t Log Off’ is a quarantine-era movie with Ariel Winter in a leading role

Written and directed by Brandon Baer and Garrett Baer, Don’t Log Off is billed as a thriller. Deadline dished that the flick, which was filmed both on practical sets and through virtual technology, takes place early in the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine, as teased by the synopsis.

“When the birthday girl suddenly goes missing during her surprise birthday Zoom, it’s up to her handful of close friends to figure out how and why she disappeared. They must work remotely, using the technology at their disposal and individual trips to her apartment in order to unravel the clues as to what might have happened to her. That is — if they themselves can stay out of harm’s way.”

The Baer Brothers led a roster of Hollywood up-and-comers alongside Winter. Fans may recognize Ashley Argota from The Fosters, Brielle Barbusca of Big Time Adolescence, and The Killing’s Sterling Beaumon. Also, onboard are Luke Benward of Dumplin,’ Jack Griffo, from Alexa & Katie, Khylin Rhambo of Teen Wolf, and Pretty Little Liars star, Kara Royster.

‘Don’t Log Off’ has officially wrapped

Winter revealed on Instagram that Don’t Log Off has wrapped production. In the caption, she wrote a lengthy statement shouting out the cast individually by name and then thanking the crew.

“AND WE ARE WRAPPED,” exclaimed Winter in all caps. “Congratulations and thank you to our whole team — especially the very talented [Brandon Baer] and [Garrett Baer], our wonderful writers/directors. This movie really is an ensemble and I’m honored to be sharing the screen with my friends and producing this with a few of them as well!!!!!”

Winter is one of three Don’t Log Off stars to earn a producing credit. Beaumon and Benward also produced alongside Nicole Smolen and Austin Seltzer. Winter expressed appreciation to them along with the cinematographer, Ben Goodman.
