On Nov. 24, TLC announced that Doubling Down with the Derricos Season 3 was on the horizon. New episodes will premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.

The renewal news might come as a surprise to some fans, given that the sophomore season of the Derrico family’s reality show just wrapped up in August 2021. The show’s first two seasons premiered in the summer, so it seemed likely we wouldn’t see new episodes until mid-2022 at the earliest, assuming TLC ordered another season.

What to expect from the new season of ‘Doubling Down with the Derricos’

The next season of Doubling Down with the Derricos will continue to follow Karen and Deon’s life with their 14 kids. Now, that some of their babies are getting older, they’re facing new challenges as parents. Fifteen-year-old Darian wants more independence — including a driver’s license. Meanwhile, Derrick, 11, and twins Dallas and Denver, are experiencing their first crushes.

The couple also has to deal with kids starting preschool, potty training, and planning a big trip to Disney. Plus, after Diez’s surgery in season 2 and Karen’s stroke scare, the family is now dealing with new health issues.

The Derricos are also on the verge of making a major life change. In the Doubling Down with the Derricos Season 2 finale, Karen and Deon announced their intention to relocate to her home state of South Carolina. But that news didn’t go over well with Deon’s mom GG, who said there was no way she was leaving Las Vegas for the South. While a recent social media update from Deon indicated that the family was still living in Nevada, the possible relocation will likely be a major theme in the new episodes.
