Josh Duggar’s trial officially ended in December 2021. After his initial arrest in April 2021 on suspicion of downloading and possessing child sexual abuse material, he was found guilty of two charges and now may face up to 20 years in prison. Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, now must grapple with everything that happened. But a Duggar family bodyguard from years past recently hosted an AMA on Reddit — and he claims Anna is “not naive.”

Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, stood by him in the past through the toughest times. In the early 2000s, Josh admitted to allegedly molesting several young girls, including a few of his sisters. Additionally, he admitted to cheating on Anna, as he had an account with the cheating website Ashley Madison. Despite all of this, Anna stood by Josh and hoped he would overcome.

“It was definitely a hard thing, and I think it was such a betrayal for a spouse to go through what we’re walking through — and . . . it was hard,” Anna once told the TLC cameras about Josh cheating, according to Us Weekly. “It was hard to realize that it was such a public thing, so not only was it a betrayal for me, but it was also a betrayal against those who call themselves Christian.”

Now, is Anna standing by Josh for his recent crimes? When the judge read the verdict, Josh told Anna he loved her before he was taken away, and she hustled out of the courtroom without speaking to the press. It’s unclear where she stands now, but the Duggar family doesn’t believe in divorce, so we imagine she’ll remain married.

A bodyguard for the famous family gave insights via a Reddit AMA

Duggar family followers have more questions than answers following Josh Duggar’s trial. And a former bodyguard for the Duggars went to Reddit to host an Ask Me Anything session. He was verified by the subreddit moderators.

“I spent 20 years doing personal protection work,” he explained. “I’ve protected authors, activists, journalists, diplomats, foreign heads of state, actors, athletes, and politicians. I spent the summer of 2015 in Tontitown, Arkansas.” He also told a Reddit user, “I did security for Josh until I couldn’t take anymore, then I worked a different family member.”

Several Reddit users asked the bodyguard questions that pertained to Josh. “I think Josh will have a difficult time in prison,” the bodyguard noted. As for Anna Duggar, he said, “Anna was super pregnant when I got there and gave birth while I was there. She stayed home for most of the time I was there.” Additionally, he also said he “reported a couple of things” he saw happen within the family, though he didn’t give details.

The bodyguard gave additional insight into Anna, too. “We called Tontitown Mars,” he added. “Michelle didn’t seem all that motherly and Anna is definitely not naive or meek.”

He also stated, “I was uncomfortable the entire time I was there.”

So far, Anna Duggar hasn’t made any statements on Josh Duggar’s guilty verdict. Other Duggar family members have spoken out, though. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar released a statement. Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, as well as Joy-Anna Duggar, also spoke out.

“We agree with the judicial system’s verdict and we are thankful for the men and women who work tirelessly to protect children and help prevent child sexual abuse material,” Joy-Anna and her husband, Austin Forsyth, posted, according to The Sun.

Anna hasn’t posted regularly to social media since Josh’s arrest in April 2021. It seems unlikely she will return to her socials now with the trial over. It also seems unlikely she will make any public statements on the matter.
