Wendy Williams has managed to offend quite a few people over the course of her career. Because of her penchant for discussing the personal lives of public figures, she is often the subject of criticism. This time it is Love & Hip Hop star Erica Mena who took offense to some of Williams’ remarks. After the talk show host took it upon herself to address the fact that Mena is expecting another child with rapper Safaree Samuels, Mena took to her Twitter for a vicious clap back.

“More Life♥️✨ Who wants that perfect love story anyway,” Mena captioned a photo that she posted to her Instagram page on May 4, 2021. The photo served as a pregnancy announcement and featured her and Samuels surrounded by money. While the couple received a fair amount of congratulatory messages, not everyone was complimentary. Some people felt that the couple’s relationship was too rocky to be welcoming another child into the world.

Wendy Williams addresses Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels’ baby announcement

Of course, Mena chose to address some of the negative comments in a video. It wasn’t long before Williams chose to discuss both the pregnancy announcement and Mena’s video on The Wendy Williams Show.

“Safaree and Erica Mena are having another baby,” Williams declared. “They announced it the other day and a lot of their fans commented that they shouldn’t have another child together.”

Continuing on, Williams addressed Mena’s video about the negative comments. “Anyway, the thing about these two is that they’re always fighting and threatening divorce,” the talk show host declared. “We’re not trying to be anything, you’re the one putting it out there, Erica. You and Safaree.” Then Williams took it upon herself to extend some advice to Mena about the way she handles her relationship.

Erica Mena threatens to fight ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ host on Twitter

“I don’t know much about you Erica, but I know Safaree enough,” Williams declared, addressing Mena. “Y’all need to stop fighting and threatening divorce so much. And, you all need to grow up and grow into being parents. And if you don’t wanna be married, then just get divorced and co-parent. Babies don’t save marriages, but good luck with at least your first six months.”

Naturally, Mena didn’t take kindly to Williams addressing her personal life and she took to her Twitter page to threaten Williams. “At this point, let’s link up so I can beat your a*s,” Mena penned. “Your ex-husband didn’t do a good enough job.” Of course, some people felt that Mena’s comments were in poor taste, especially since Williams’ ex-husband has been accused of domestic violence. However, Mena didn’t seem to care about people’s reactions to her threat.

Erica Mena doesn’t regret her comments

“By now y’all know I mean what I say and say what I mean,” Mena declared. “Talking to yourself about me is a hobby for you not for me.” The expectant mother also shared that she wouldn’t be deleting her comments about Williams. Clearly, Williams’ comments got Mena riled up. For the baby’s sake, we hope this controversy blows over quickly.
