Zoe McLellan appeared in ‘NCIS’ and ‘NCIS: New Orleans’

McLellan began her acting career in the mid-1990s with small roles in films like Mr. Holland’s Opus and Inventing the Abbotts. She found more success on television, beginning with Star Trek: Voyager before she moved on to JAG.

McLellan played Petty Officer Jennifer Coates, which was a recurring role during seasons 7 through 9, before becoming a series regular in the 10th and final season. She then landed a lead role on the short-lived ABC drama Dirty Sexy Money. But she’s mostly known for her portrayal of Agent Meredith Brody on NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans.

Her last role was in ‘Designated Survivor’

McLellan played Agent Brody in the NOLA backdoor pilot, which was an episode of NCIS titled “Crescent City.” She then moved on to the spinoff, where she was a major player during seasons 1 and 2.

She didn’t return for season 3, though. After her run on NCIS: New Orleans, McLellan appeared in Law & Order: SVU and Suits before scoring the part of Kendra on Designated Survivor in 2017. But when she moved to Toronto to film the series, things took a nasty turn in her personal life.

The ‘NCIS’ star’s ex claims she’s wanted for kidnapping

McLellan was married to a man named J.P. Gillian from 2012 to 2016, and during that time they welcomed a son named Sebastian. When they split, the former couple began a custody war that still hasn’t been resolved.

According to TMZ, Gillian claims that McLellan took Sebastian with her to Toronto without his permission or consent. He says that he hasn’t seen his son or heard from McLellan since April 2019.

His attorney, Lawrence Markey, says that the child is missing, and they believe he is with McLellan somewhere near New Orleans. Gillian posted a “Wanted” poster for McLellan in December 2020 that read, “Please share and reach out if you know anything about where this person is! She’s abducted my son.”

Court records show an outstanding warrant

According to the court records, there was an arrest warrant issued for McLellan out of LA County in May of 2021. The outstanding charges attached to the warrant include kidnapping, child custody deprivation, and child stealing for an issue dating back to 2017.

There’s no record from the LA County Sheriff’s office of McLellan being arrested, and it appears that she’s completely disappeared. Sources say that the actor has gone completely off the grid with her now 8-year-old son.

According to The Daily Mail, there may have been a good reason for McLellan’s disappearance. In January 2020, Gillian was booked into a Louisiana prison for charges of “first-degree rape and aggravated crime against nature.”  It appears that the actor accused her ex-husband of abusing their son, and that could be the reason she disappeared.

“There’s no script I’ve ever read that’s been as awful as this,” McLellan said via phone at the time. “However, I always tell my son that we are warriors, not worriers, and we are fighting for him and that I will be able to keep him safe.”
