From Belle and the Beast to Anna and Kristoff, Disney creates fairytale romances with their feature films. Several heartwarming movies are available for binge-watching on Disney’s streaming platform, Disney+. Some of those releases are perfect for Valentine’s Day.

These real-life romances are a dream come true. Thanks to this television special, fans saw couples get married in the happiest place on earth. Each ceremony had a touch of Disney magic, with some couples featuring a projection cake and others enjoying a special celebrity appearance. 

Disney also created their Disney Fairytale Weddings television series, detailing more “happily ever afters” for Disney fans. 

‘Up’

Carl and Ellie share a special relationship in this Disney and Pixar animated film. Within the first 30 minutes of the movie, fans learn about their friendship-turned life together. Even after Ellie’s death, Carl honored her memory by taking a spectacular trip to Paradise Falls. 

This release is available on Disney’s streaming platform, as are Disney and Pixar movies like Finding Nemo and Luca.

‘The Princess Bride’

True love conquers everything — even death. This romantic comedy tells the story of a princess who falls in love with a commoner. There are sword fights, massive eels, poisoned drinks, and one unbreakable bond that makes it all worth it. Popularized in the 1980s, The Princess Bride is now available on Disney+.

‘Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella’

It’s impossible to forget this film. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella tells the story of a magical pumpkin and a glass slipper. It also features original songs like “A Lovely Night” and “In My Own Little Corner.”

With a stellar cast and memorable songs, this movie musical is a favorite of many theater fans. Other versions of Cinderella are available on Disney’s streaming platform. 

There’s the original animated film released in 1950. There’s the live-action adaptation starring Lily James initially released in 2015. Disney also created animated Cinderella sequels, like Cinderella III: A Twist in Time.

‘The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement’ 

Princess Mia had a unique high school experience. After graduating from college, this character went to Genovia for her coronation ceremony. There was only one thing standing in the way of her crown — she needed to get married.

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (starring Chris Pine, Anne Hathaway, and Julie Andrews) is available to Disney+ subscribers. Additionally, Disney+ has the original The Princess Diaries in its streaming library.

Disney+ has binge-worthy television shows available this Valentine’s Day

Disney+ created adorable romances in their original shows. Marvel fans learned more about Avengers Wanda Maximoff and Vision with the 2021 release WandaVision. Seb and Carlos went from co-stars to partners in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Fans saw a family-like relationship between the Mandalorian and Grogu in The Mandalorian.
