CBS’ FBI: Most Wanted Season 3 recently brought Dylan McDermott onboard, and fans can’t wait to see what the actor will do with his new character, Remy Scott, as part of the FBI: Most Wanted cast moving forward. McDermott is no stranger to police procedurals, as he also starred in Law & Order: Organized Crime. But what else has the actor starred in? Here’s where fans have likely seen him in the past.

Dylan McDermott joined the FBI: Most Wanted cast as Supervisory Special Agent Remy Scott during season 3 episode 17. Scott is replacing Jess LaCroix, who was killed on the job.

“What’s fun about this episode and even the next couple of episodes going forward is as we start to unpack more about who Remy is you’ll start to see the way the rest of the team is responding to him,” executive producer David Hudgins said, according to Deadline. “One of my favorite things about the new energy and vibe of the team is there’s a lightness to it, in a good way.”

McDermott spoke to TV Insider about the role, too. He explains that Scott’s been a part of the FBI “for awhile,” and he’s “very good at what he does.”

“He’s skilled. He’s intelligent. He’s got a dark, wry sense of humor,” McDermott added. “He’s physical, heroic. He’s self-effacing and just a little bit weird as well. Put that in a blender, and you get this guy.

Aside from NBC’s Law & Order: Organized Crime, what else has Dylan McDermott been in before joining the FBI: Most Wanted cast?

Fans likely remember McDermott for his time on American Horror Story. He played Ben Harmon in AHS: Murder House and Apocalypse, Johnny Morgan in AHS: Asylum, and Bruce in AHS: 1984. McDermott also appeared on the Hulu series American Horror Stories as Ben Harmon.

McDermott’s most notable role might be as Bobby Donnell in The Practice. He earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama in 1999 and a nomination for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role, according to IMDb.

Additionally, fans may remember McDermott from the TNT series Dark Blue, the TV miniseries Hollywood, and the series No Activity, LA to Vegas, Stalker, and Hostages.

With Dylan McDermott joining the FBI: Most Wanted cast, is he still on Law & Order: Organized Crime as Richard Wheatley?

Unfortunately for Law & Order fans, McDermott left the show. His last episode with the series was in March 2022, and it seems he left to pursue the opportunity with FBI.

“Look, I’ll miss every aspect of him,” McDermott’s co-star Christopher Meloni told Entertainment Tonight. “He was good in front of the camera. He was great when it was off. [He has a] cheeky sensibility and good sense of humor.”

It seems McDermott is settling into his new role as Remy Scott — and fans can expect to see way more of him moving forward.

FBI: Most Wanted Season 3 airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
