Fraser From ‘Below Deck’ Reveals His Sweet Connection With Jake Foulger – He ‘Is Going to Be in My Heart’ (Exclusive)
Fraser Olender from Below Deck wouldn’t reveal if he and Jake Foulger are romantically linked or just close friends but said Foulger is in his heart and they remain close today.
Below Deck previews tease that Olender and Foulger kiss this season – this is after Foulger and Rayna Lindsey ended up in a lengthy liplock after the first charter ended.
But Olender said of everyone on the boat, he bonded the most with Foulger and explained why.
Jake Foulger and Fraser Olender formed a strong connection during ‘Below Deck’
Of all the cast members, Olender said he kept in the closest touch with Foulger since filming wrapped several months ago. “Jake and I have a really strong bond and a great relationship,” he told recently told Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
“And what’s fun is we all got along, which is lovely, as all of our relationships go. Firstly we make friends. At this point in time [in the season] you can’t really see real interactions.”
He added that the entire crew ended up becoming friends. But for him, he feels the most bonded to Foulger. “We all become friends and we have hiccups along the way,” he continued about the crew.
Olender added Foulger’s friendship is very special to him. “Jake is going to be in my heart for as long as I can see down the line,” he said. “But I’m still good friends with all of them.”
What did Fraser Olender first notice about Jake Foulger on ‘Below Deck’?
Olender said that Foulger isn’t the type of person he’s usually attracted to or dates. “You know what, Jake couldn’t be further from my type if he tried,” Olender said.
“But he has such a wonderful personality,” he added. “He’s funny, he’s witty and he’s kind. And I think being British brought us together quite quickly and quite easily. We could bond over tons of phrases and all the rest. Just the British banter.”
“And we sort of warmed to each other,” he continued. “And … then some so we’ll see. So I’m excited to see the rest of the season.”
Is this another ‘Below Deck’ love triangle?
Olender couldn’t spill too much about a friendship or romance with Foulger. “It’s definitely something to look forward to watching,” he teased.
“I don’t want to spoil anything and I don’t want to give too much away. But things start to happen onboard. And it sort of begins to create a really interesting and fun storyline throughout the rest of the season. But at the moment, we’re just getting to know each other and being extremely flirtatious.”
One reason why this storyline will be wild is that Lindsey seemed to be pretty smitten with Foulger after they kissed. So if Olender ends up kissing Foulger too, where does that leave Lindsey? Olender and Lindsey appeared together on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, so their friendship appears to have withstood any kind of love triangle.
The last Below Deck love triangle didn’t end with friendships. Sydney Zaruba, Gary King, and Alli Dore got romantically entangled on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2. King and Zaruba hooked up after the first charter. But King was really interested in Dore. He and Dore got together, but then Zaruba was left out in the cold. The crew members were no longer friends after the season wrapped. Dore went on to have a baby with her boyfriend.
