Not only does Jennifer Aniston actually watch Friends reruns, but she still laughs just as hard as the rest of us. In fact, she may laugh even harder. For Aniston, episodes of the show that launched her career are like re-living inside jokes. She sees the funny stuff we all see, but she also knows what hilarious stuff was happening behind the scenes, and between takes. The fact that she and her castmates are still so into the show bodes well for the upcoming reunion. The event Friends fans have been waiting for will air on HBO Max, and Aniston can’t wait. So she had a mini-reunion with her friend and former co-star, Lisa Kudrow, while in lockdown.

Jennifer Aniston still laughs at old ‘Friends’ episodes

It’s not just jokes on the show that makes the old episodes entertaining for Aniston. She watches to figure out where she and Kudrow would “break,” or break character and start laughing, in each show. As reported by Variety, Aniston told Kudrow, “You and I would always get into these fits of laughter because you had this wonderful ability to — you were about to hit your punchline, and you would do this adorable thing where you would break. You would say the punchline, and you would always turn to the audience and say, ‘I’m sorry, it’s really funny.'”

One of Aniston’s favorite moments from Kudrow is her singing. “The bagpipes — where you started to sing full 100%-sounding like the bagpipe — I couldn’t hold it together. No one could hold it together.” Aniston has been re-watching old episodes of the show during quarantine, but Kudrow refuses. The actress who played Phoebe Buffay wants to wait for the cast to hang out and watch all the Friends episodes together.

Both Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow admit to watching ‘Friends’ bloopers

Even though Kudrow isn’t watching full episodes, she will relive some funny moments from her time on the show by watching the bloopers, reports US. That’s something Aniston has done as well. During their chat, Aniston admitted that she and Courtney Cox stumbled upon the bloopers while looking something up online, and got caught up in them. “And then we stumbled on — there’s bloopers online — and we sat there at the computer like two nerds watching these bloopers laughing at ourselves.”

Fans can expect more bloopers to come out of the reunion show. According to Aniston and Kudrow, even they don’t know everything about it just yet. The show will be unscripted, and it may not be an actual show. Although some fans wanted a final episode of the show, kind of like an epilogue, this will most likely be similar to the conversation Kudrow and Aniston had during quarantine.

Jennifer Aniston’s favorite episodes were the flashback episodes

There are a few of these throughout the seasons. These are the episodes that flash back to Monica, Ross, and Rachel’s youth. One of the running jokes was how in the past, Monica was overweight, so Cox appears in a fat suit. Rachel is pre-rhinoplasty, so Aniston has to wear a prosthetic nose. And to top it all off, Ross has a sweet fro. It’s no wonder why these are Aniston’s favorite moments of the show. “I always loved when we would flashback to fat Monica and Rachel pre-nose job and Ross with his Afro.”

Unfortunately, fans can’t expect to see flashback versions of the cast in the new reunion special. The unscripted event will likely be more like regular friends, sitting around and reminiscing about what it was like to be on one of the most popular shows of all time. Kudrow admitted she will not be appearing as Phoebe Buffay, and Aniston won’t be playing Rachel. Although, in a way, she will. “I will not be Rachel, although I kind of am. Well, we’re all sort of little fragments of them.”
