Kudrow was born in California in 1963. Raised in a middle-class family, Kudrow originally intended on becoming a headache specialist, like her father, but when she was attending college, she fell in love with entertaining.

She went on to study comedy, becoming a member of the famed Groundlings comedy troupe in Los Angeles. She auditioned to become a cast member of Saturday Night Live, and while she didn’t land the part, she did go on to get guest roles in a number of popular sitcoms throughout the early nineties.

In 1994, Kudrow was cast in the brand-new sitcom Friends. The show became an immediate hit, and Kudrow, along with her castmates Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry, went down in television history.

She remained on the show until the very end when Friends went off the air in 2004. All the while, Kudrow continued to develop her career by appearing in a number of movies and television shows.

What did Lisa Kudrow say about getting plastic surgery when she was sixteen?

Kudrow might be a beautiful Hollywood actress, but the star has gone through her fair share of difficult times and has dealt with normal insecurities. In fact, Kudrow was so unhappy with her nose when she was a teenager that she decided to do something permanent about it.

As she revealed in a 2013 interview, she opted to get a rhinoplasty when she was only sixteen. “I went from, in my mind, hideous, to not hideous. I did it the summer before going to a new high school,” Kudrow stated. “So there were plenty of people who wouldn’t know how hideous I looked before. That was a good, good, good change.”

Kudrow might have found her rhinoplasty at sixteen to be “life-altering,” more recently, she prefers to avoid plastic surgery entirely. The star opened up to Glamour UK in 2014, revealing that these days, she avoids surgeries and likes to keep things pretty natural.

“I’m too afraid to do Botox or filler or plastic surgery. It doesn’t mean I won’t ever do it, but it all scares me a little too much,” Kudrow stated. “I think everyone’s beautiful when they’re smiling. So I try to be happy. Drink in the good stuff.”

In general, Kudrow keeps a pretty loose philosophy in her private life – which, for her, might be the secret to enduring happiness. In her Glamour interview, Kudrow said that “as you get older, there are fewer Dos and Don’ts. You’re less judgmental of yourself and others. My advice: Be a good listener; human beings are very complicated.”

This advice seems to have served Kudrow very well during the course of her life, especially since, to millions of fans worldwide, she is still one of the most beloved stars of all time.
