GAC Family Celebrates Christmas in July With 24/7 Movie Event

Forget fireworks and burgers on the grill. GAC Family is celebrating the Fourth of July with mistletoe and candy canes. The network has a 24/7 Christmas movie marathon planned for the holiday weekend. Days of Our Lives alum Jen Lilley will host the event.

Jen Lilley hosts GAC Family’s ‘Great American Christmas in July’

Lilley will host GAC Family’s first-ever “Great American Christmas in July.”  

​​”So honored to be hosting Great American Christmas in July this summer to bring you holiday cheer all year long and remind you that Christmas Is NotCancelled,” Lilley wrote in an Instagram post. 

The actor – who starred in GAC Family’s original 2021 Christmas movie Royally Wrapped for Christmas co-founded Christmas Is Not Canceled in 2020 as a way to spread joy and give back during the holiday season. For this year’s Camp Christmas in July event, they’re teaming up with GAC Family and baking sprinkle mix company Sprinkle Pop to host a bake-a-thon that pairs movies with giving back to children in foster care, Lilley added.

The Great American Christmas in July event kicks off on Saturday, July 2. It features 24/7 Christmas movies throughout the holiday weekend, including encore presentations of GAC Family’s original holiday films. Viewers can also expect a first look at some of the new movies on the horizon for 2022’s Great American Christmas programming event. 

While a full schedule isn’t yet available, GAC has revealed that viewers can expect to see repeats of the network’s original movies, including Christmas Time Is Here, The Great Christmas Switch, A Christmas Star, Jingle Bell Princess, A Kindhearted Christmas, A Christmas Miracle for Daisy, Royally Wrapped for Christmas, Joy for Christmas, A Lot Like Christmas, Angel Falls Christmas, and Much Ado About Christmas. 

The event will also include broadcasts of several other holiday favorites, including Debbie Macomber’s Mrs. Miracle and Debbie Macomber’s Call Me Mrs. Miracle, which originally aired on Hallmark, as well as A Cinderella Christmas and A Match Made at Christmas.  

New Christmas movies with Jill Wagner, Daniel Lissing will air on GAC Family later in 2022

In addition to its Christmas in July programming, GAC Family is looking forward to its second Great American Christmas. It kicks off on October 28. 

Already announced new movies for this year include Catering Christmas, which stars Merritt Patterson and When Calls the Heart’s Daniel Lissing, and The Christmas Farm (WT) with Jill Wagner and Cameron Mathison. In addition, Hallmark’s former “Christmas queen” Candace Cameron Bure has signed an exclusive deal with GAC Media that will see her taking on a key role in GAC Family’s holiday programming.
