It looks like we’re going to get another Joy-centric episode of Good Witch this week. After reconnecting with her long-lost father in the June 13 episode of the Hallmark Channel drama, it looks like Joy (Katherine Barrell) is taking the first steps in a much-anticipated new romance with Zoey (Kyana Teresa). Plus, Sam (James Denton) is getting in touch with his musical side, as seen in a preview for “The Wishes,” airing June 20.

Joy and Zoey go on their first date in ‘Good Witch’ Season 7 Episode 6

Good Witch fans were buzzing when sparks started to fly between Joy and Zoey in the show’s May 30 episode. The budding romance between the designer and the firefighter marks the first time we’ve seen an LGBTQ relationship on a scripted Hallmark Channel series

Joy and Zoey clearly have a connection, and in the June 20 episode, they go on their first date. But Joy has some first-date jitters.

“I haven’t been out on a date in a long time,” she confesses to Cassie (Catherine Bell) in the trailer. But from the look of things, it seems like the date goes well, with the pair sharing a sweet nighttime walk.

Meanwhile, Sam reunites with his high school friend, rock star Logan Mann (Aidan Devine), when he pays a visit to Middleton. Logan agrees to perform at a fundraiser George (Peter MacNeill) and Adam (Scott Cavalheiro) have organized to save the church. He even convinces Sam — whose one-time nickname was apparently “six-string Sammy” — to join him on stage.

“We may as well get the band back together,” Logan says in the preview, as Sam shows off his guitar skills at the benefit.

In Good Witch’s upcoming episode, Cassie, Joy, and Abigail (Sarah Power) also pay a visit to Middleton’s wishing well. But disaster strikes when Abigail tosses a coin in the well but ends up losing her ring instead. Fortunately, the mishap ends up having some surprising results.

Meanwhile, George fiddles with an old CB radio, which Cassie ultimately ends up using it to make an unexpected connection. Based on an extended preview for the episode, it also sounds like George might be thinking about taking a step forward in his relationship with Samantha (Mary Long), whom he connected with last season.

Plus, Donovan (Marc Bendavid) wants a powerful person to endorse his run for governor, but Abigail has questions about her fiancé’s approach. Finally, Stephanie’s (Kylee Evans) love life remains complicated, with the café owner appearing to have several different suitors.

Good Witch Season 7 Episode 6, “The Wishes,” airs Sunday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel.
