Get ready to say goodbye to Good Witch. The series finale of the Hallmark Channel series airs Sunday, July 25. So, what’s in store for Cassie (Catherine Bell), Abigail (Sarah Power), Joy (Katherine Barrell), and the other residents of Middleton in the series finale? A preview for the upcoming episode offers some clues.

The July 18 episode of Good Witch, titled “The Search,” ended on a dramatic note. Cassie collapsed on the floor of Grey House. Meanwhile, Joy and Abigail nearly fainted after Joy discovered the mold for the missing amulet in the latch for the hope chest.

Throughout the episode, the three Merriwick witches had been struggling as their powers went haywire. Cassie experienced visions of her late parents, which forced her to reckon with her lingering guilt over failing to warn them about the accident that caused their deaths. Abigail was suddenly able to speak other people’s thoughts out loud, which led to some uncomfortable moments. Finally, Joy was able to see brief glimpses of the future. It’s all tied to the effects of the red-haloed moon, which threatens their family legacy as witches.

In a preview for the upcoming episode, it seems the three women must look to the past as they face the future. The Merriwicks will have to “shake the family tree,” as Abigail says, if they want to overcome the greatest challenge yet to their powers.

Who is getting married in the ‘Good Witch’ series finale?

It’s not all witchy business in the last-ever outing for Good Witch. The episode is titled “The Wedding,” so we can expect at least one ceremony to take place. But who’s going to say “I do” in the series finale? We don’t know for sure, but there are a few possibilities.

Abigail and Donovan (Marc Bendavid) have spent much of season 7 attempting to plan their wedding. It’s been a fraught process, to say the least. In “The Search,” the couple agreed to elope, and it’s definitely possible they’re the ones getting married in the finale. Adam (Scott Cavalheiro) and Stephanie (Kylee Evans) have also rekindled their romance ahead of her plans to temporarily move to France. A now-deleted clip of the upcoming episode shared on Hallmark’s YouTube page suggested they might be the couple preparing to walk down the aisle.

Since Hallmark announced that Good Witch would be ending with season 7, the cast has been reflecting on their time on the show and its legacy, as well as assuring fans that the series would get a proper send-off.

On Instagram, Barrell promised viewers that Good Witch was “truly going out with a very magical and heartfelt bang!”

“It’s a fun finale,” Denton said in a Facebook Live with his co-star Bell.

“There’s definitely a nice wrap up,” Bell confirmed. She also said that she was pleased to see people focusing on the happiness the show and the Good Witch movies brought to viewers over the past 13 years.

“It’s bittersweet. It’s sad for sure because Cassie and the Good Witch and everything that represents, the good and the positivity and all of that, is coming to an end,” Bell said, the show’s fans were able to see the glass a half full. “But people were like, ‘We’ll always have that. We’ll always have that positivity. Seeing the best in people.”

The Good Witch series finale airs Sunday, July 25 at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel.
