In the hours leading up to the release of The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE, TXT held a virtual global media showcase for reporters. Showbiz Cheat Sheet attended the media showcase.

At the showcase, Beomgyu of TXT revealed that Scooter Braun of Ithaca Holdings and HYBE America gifted a guitar once used by the Rolling Stones guitarist to Bang Si-hyuk, the founder of Big Hit Music and HYBE.

“LO$ER=LO♡ER” is an emo pop-punk track and it features heavy guitar sounds. According to Beomgyu, the guitar used to record the single was Richards’ guitar that Braun gave to Bang.

Braun’s involvement with The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE did not stop at gifting Richard’s guitar. At the media showcase, TXT’s Taehyun shared that Braun connected the group and Big Hit Music with several high-profile producers to work on “LO$ER=LO♡ER.”

‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’ is TXT’s newest single

Slow Rabbit, Bang, Andy Love, Lil 27 Club, Billy Walsh, Louis Bell, Daniel Caesar, Oneye, Yeonjun, Moa “Cazzi Opeia” Carlebecker, Alex Karlsson, Ronnie Icon, Hwang In-chan, and Jung Jin-woo are the writers of “LO$ER=LO♡ER.”

At TXT’s media showcase, Yeonjun shared that Bang encouraged him to write the rap for “LO$ER=LO♡ER.” Yeonjun was excited about this opportunity, as it was his first time writing on a title track.

With “LO$ER=LO♡ER,” Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai explore their desire to be a “lover” and hero while coping with being “losers.” The dichotomy ties into the album’s theme of being torn between fighting and escaping in the face of chaos.

According to a press release, “The song’s title is a creative representation of modern desires; the boy yearns not only to change his circumstances and a heroic lover for ‘you,’ but also seeks riches that will fund your joint rescue from the crutches of this materialistic world.”
