The model showed off new brunette hair at the VMAs
Hailey Bieber chose her appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards to debut her new look.
She was at the awards show to introduce Kacey Musgraves’ live performance, while her husband Justin Bieber accompanied her and also performed on stage. Justine Bieber performed his hit song with The Kid Laroi, “Stay.” He won the award for Best Pop category for “Peaches,” as well as the honor of Artist of the Year. This is the first time Justin Bieber has performed at the VMAs since 2015.
Justin Bieber gave Hailey a sweet shout-out during his acceptance speech for the Artist of the Year award. “I look over here and I see my beautiful wife and I just want to say I love you so much,” he said while looking at Hailey.
Despite his wins, Bieber let his wife shine as he dressed simply in denim overalls over a black hoodie. Hailey Bieber wore a sheer pale lavender turtleneck midi dress by Alaïa, which contrasted nicely with the darker hair color. She wore her hair slicked back in a chic chignon, but the color change was still highly noticeable.
Hailey Bieber continued to rock her new look at the Met Gala
While Bieber chose a light-colored outfit for the VMAs, she opted for a black ensemble for the Met Gala the following day.
Justin and Hailey Bieber walked the cream carpet at the 2021 Met Gala in coordinating black outfits. Justin wore a wide-legged suit with white sneakers while Hailey dressed in an elegant low-cut YSL gown with subtle embellishments along the neckline. Hailey Bieber wore her dark hair down in loose waves.
According to Us Weekly, this was the first time Justin Bieber has attended the event in six years. Hailey Bieber attended the Met Gala alone in 2019, and she famously went with Shawn Mendes as her date in 2018 before reconciling with Justin Beiber a month later.
