Haley Dunphy Had Her Own Web Series During ‘Modern Family’ Before Things Went Seriously Wrong
With over 50,000 visitors coming to her page, it’s pretty fair to say that Haley Dunphy’s fashion video blog, (featured during one episode of Modern Family,) was a success. The reason for its success, though, is not so great. It isn’t until Alex Dunphy points it out that Haley realizes she’s made a mistake.
Haley Dunphy has always been interested in fashion
Each of the Dunphy kids have their own special interests. For Alex, that’s science and math. For Luke, that’s making movies with his dad and his friends. Haley Dunphy, the eldest of the kids, has always been interested in fashion and in makeup.
Although this series, fans saw Haley pursue her dreams in a few different ways. She briefly worked at a fashion magazine, although her boss was pretty eccentric. Fans never found out what Haley majored in, but the character attended college during season 4 of the comedy series.
During the Dunphys’ one perfect summer, (the first episode of season 6,) each of them branched off to try pursue their passions. Alex went away to build houses. Phil got back into his magic. Haley decided to take her love for fashion online, starting her own web show.

Haley’s fashion video blog is pretty much an instant success. Her series earned over 50,000 visitors, which is pretty impressive considering she just started it that summer. Some of the segments she did included showing off her clothes, as fans see her explaining a zipper during one vlog.
Not to mention, her hair has been looking fabulous, so that could be a reason why she has so many subscribers. Unfortunately, Alex explains the real reason for Haley’s popularity once she comes home from volunteering.
Alex Dunphy pointed out the reason why Haley’s series was so popular
Because Alex Dunphy was gone all summer, there was no one in the house to point out little mistakes. Someone left the attic window open, Phil and Luke left the leaves on their rhubarb, which is incredibly poisonous.
At one point, Alex notices the green light on Haley’s laptop. She asks her sister if she’s recording her to humiliate her. Haley is a little confused — she thought that when you changed web pages, the camera just turned off. Alex tells her that’s totally not the case and everyone has been seeing everything.
At the end of the episode, viewers even saw some parts of the webshow. That included Haley jamming out in front of her mirror, Claire trying on her top, and Phil spilling plum juice all over his shirt. Some episodes of Modern Family are available for streaming on Hulu.
