Jill Wagner is a new mom! The Hallmark Channel actress and her husband David Lemanowicz, a former hockey player, welcomed their first child together on Friday, April 17, People reported.

The newest member of the Lemanowicz family arrived at 12:36 p.m. and weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz. The couple gave their new bundle of joy a unique name: Army Gray Lemanowicz.

Jill Wagner gave her daughter a patriotic name

Wagner, 41, and her husband, 44, gave their baby a unique — and patriotic — name. But there’s a sweet story behind Army’s moniker.

“She was conceived on July 4 so we wanted a patriotic name and my husband is in the military so we chose her first name to be Army,” Wagner explained to People. “We thought that was a good name to honor both.”

Wagner added that they chose the American spelling for Army Gray’s middle name, opting for an “a” rather than an “e.”

“I have always loved that name,” the Mystery 101 star said. “It is strong, intelligent, soft and feminine all in one … which is what I want her to be.”

This is the second child for Lemanowicz. He also has a 10-year-old daughter named Lija.

Wagner says her life is ‘complete’

In an Instagram post announcing Army’s arrival, Wagner referred to her daughter as her “heart.”

“My life is finally complete,” she wrote.

Wagner and her husband had struggled to conceive, she told People in November 2019. She had actually made an appointment with a fertility doctor, but when she went in for her first consultation, she learned she was already pregnant. “It was shocking, scary, and the best feeling in the world all at once,” she told the magazine.

“This wasn’t an easy road and through a lot of prayer this little one found the way to us,” she wrote on Instagram when she revealed she was expecting. “I have never been a super maternal woman but I feel changes happening already just in this short amount of time. To all the mothers out there, I am honored to be a part of your team.”
