Halsey shared a teaser for ‘So Good’

On June 6, Halsey posted a video teaser for “So Good” on YouTube and other social media platforms. The teaser opens with an empty chair facing a desk and mirror.

The next shot shows various items on a desk, focusing on a plaque that reads “Halsey July 30, 2018.” Next, the screen fades to show a green couch and a table with books on it.

Halsey’s partner Alev Aydin makes eye contact with Halsey, who is seen sitting in front of a video monitor.

Text on the screen appears reading, “SO GOOD by Halsey,” with the “a” in Halsey’s name written in pink while the other letters are white.

The screen then reads, “A FILM by Alev Aydin.” The “A” at the beginning of Alev is written in red, and the “A” in Aydin is written in blue.

Fans of the singer reacted to the ‘So Good’ teaser

Since Halsey revealed she had a song she wanted to release in May, she had already been answering fans’ questions on social media about the song.

After Halsey released the teaser for “So Good,” fans of the singer-songwriter posted their reactions on social media.

“they look so in love in this clip,” one Reddit user wrote about Halsey and Aydin.

“it’s when halsey played red rocks on the hfk tour(: i believe it’s a larger award/tropy/statue (?) that says red rocks on it, sometimes given to artists when they sell out a venue. I’m assuming it’s an easter egg that they met at this show or Alev did some media for the show,” a fan speculated about the music video on Reddit.

Capitol Music approved the release of Halsey’s song ‘So Good’

On May 22, Halsey posted a TikTok with a snippet of the unreleased single “So Good.” In the TikTok, the singer alleged that their record label was keeping them from releasing the song the way they wanted.

“Basically I have a song that I love that I want to release ASAP, but my record label won’t let me… And my record company is saying that I can’t release it unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok,” the singer wrote in the TikTok.

After Halsey published the TikTok, Capitol Music released a statement on May 31 announcing “So Good” will be released on June 9.

“We are an artist first company that encourages open dialogue. We have nothing but a desire to help each one of our artists succeed, and hope that we can continue to have these critical conversations,” Capitol Music wrote in a statement.

“So Good” will be released on June 9 at 6 p.m. EDT, and the single’s music video will drop at noon EDT on June 10.
