Daniel Radcliffe revealed he had a crush on his ‘Harry Potter’ co-star Helena Bonham Carter

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe recently opened up about the crush he had on a co-star while doing an interview for the upcoming TV special, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.

According to Page Six, 32-year-old Radcliffe read a letter he gave to Helena Bonham Carter, who played Bellatrix Lestrange, while they were filming. Carter was also involved in the interview and got to hear Radcliffe read the admission of his crush out loud.

“Dear HBC,” Radcliffe read to the actor, who is 23 years his senior. “It was a pleasure being your co-star and coaster in the sense that I always ended up holding your coffee.”

55-year-old Carter encouraged Radcliffe to continue reading. “You can share,” she said. Radcliffe agreed, as if overcoming embarrassment, “I can. I can share this now.”

He continued to read, “I do love you. And I just wish I had been born ten years earlier [so that] I might [have had] a chance. Lots of love and thanks for being cool.”

“If she was texting a boy or I was texting a girl, I would be like, ‘She sent me this many kisses back. What do I do? This is a nightmare,’” Radcliffe said.
