Has Fame Changed the BTS Members?
These performers went from a small label in South Korea to a global stage. Still, they manage to connect with fans on live streams and via Twitter. Has fame changed the BTS members? Hereās what fans are saying about these āhumble kings.ā
Fans met BTS members over seven years ago
Itās been a few years since fans met RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. Since their debut, these performers earned millions of streams on Spotify and collaborated with artists like Charli XCX, Halsey, and Sia.Ā
These performers even hit a few milestones while performing as idols including Jungkook graduating from school. Even though theyāve grown and matured since their debut, according to fans, theyāre still pretty down to earth, not changing āpersonality-wise.ā
The BTS members havenāt really changed that much since their debut
They still love their fans, music, and the little things. Even though they broke a few YouTube records and became the first K-pop group to perform at the Grammy Awards, the BTS members stay humble and down to earth, according to a number of fans and their interactions.Ā
When BTS visited the BTS Pop-Up: House of BTS in Seoul in 2019, Jungkook revealed that he wanted to get a pillow because he didnāt have one. He would just use a rolled-up towel instead. V confirmed that even as a person in his 20s, Jungkook did not own a pillow.
BTS released their first all-English single, āDynamiteā
Since their debut, BTS became one of the biggest boy bands in the world. During an interview with Elle from 2017, the members commented on how their global success impacted their songwriting and performing process.Ā
āIt has not changed my style. I try not to be influenced by success or popularity,ā Suga said, according to the translation.
āItās made me want to create more fresh and better music and thatās why we all try to listen and study more music,ā Jungkook added. Since 2017 even, the BTS members pivoted to create music more accessible to audiences worldwide.Ā
In 2020, they released their first song that was performed entirely in English, āDynamite.ā The reasoning behind this change, RM explained during an interview with USA TODAY, was because it was the next step in their growth.Ā
āWe never expected this song would come, you know, like even in fully English, like you said, but many things have changed and, you know during the process of making our album, which weāre going to release later this year, we just met this song like a destiny and when we first listened to the demo, the lyrics and the vibes and you know, everything was so perfect,ā RM said.
The āDynamiteā music video is now available on YouTube. Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
