Marvel fans should brace themselves because Hawkeye Episode 5 promises to be a gamechanger. The fifth hour is the episode before the finale, and as with most penultimate episodes, it will set up the final events of the show. And in doing so, it will also blow fans’ minds, according to multiple reports. With the return of Yelena Belova and many other mysteries yet to be solved, Hawkeye Episode 5 will likely be something fans talk about for a while.

Since Hawkeye Episode 4 featured a couple of shocking reveals, then we can’t even imagine what episode 5 has in store for fans.

During the fourth hour, Yelena Belova finally arrived to disrupt Clint Barton’s world. As many recall, Yelena’s boss, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, assigned her a target in a post-credits scene in Black Widow. Valentina told Yelena that she wanted her to kill Natasha Romanoff’s murderer. She then showed her a picture of Clint.

In episode 4, Yelena finally set about her mission and attacked Clint on a rooftop. Meanwhile, Kate tried to steal a mysterious Rolex watch from Echo’s apartment. But, of course, Echo arrived, and the two of them took their fight to the rooftop where Clint and Yelena were.

In the end, both Yelena and Echo retreated while Clint told Kate that they could no longer work together. And, somehow, Hawkeye Episode 5 is supposed to top all of those new developments.

The directors of ‘Hawkeye’ Episode 5 tease the penultimate hour

During an interview with ComicBook.com, Bert and Bertie, who directed the third, fourth, and fifth episode of Hawkeye, addressed the reports that claimed episode 5 would make fans go crazy on Twitter.

After Bert joked that they already blew up Twitter with the tease of Echo’s uncle in episode 3, Bertie said, “We love where this show is going, and five is the last one we did, so of course it’s going to blow up Twitter.”

Many speculations are going around among fans regarding what could happen in Hawkeye Episode 5. Of course, many expect Yelena and Clint to meet again. But the most popular theory pertains to the identity of Echo’s uncle.

Will Wilson Fisk reveal himself as Echo’s uncle?

Hawkeye Episode 3 gave fans background on Maya Lopez, aka Echo, and teased fans that she had an uncle. And this uncle seems to be the actual boss of the Tracksuit Mafia. During a flashback to when Echo was a child, her uncle approaches her, pinches her cheek, laughs, and walks away.

We never saw his face, but many fans immediately concluded that this mystery man is Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin. The notorious villain became Echo’s adoptive father in the comic books after killing her biological father. So, it would make sense if he played her “uncle” in Hawkeye.

Perhaps when Bert and Bertie claimed that the fifth episode would “blow up Twitter,” they referred to Kingpin finally showing his face. And nothing would make fans crazier than if Vincent D’Onofrio, who played Fisk in Daredevil, reprised his role in Hawkeye.
