This country songstress is no stranger to public romantic entanglements. Therefore, when Miranda Lambert randomly announced she’d gotten married at the top of the year, we were all left to scratch our heads. Just last summer, the “It All Comes Out In The Wash” singer was caught up in a rather tawdry affair.
She had abruptly ended her romance with musician, Anderson East and was allegedly in a romance with Turnpike Troubadours’ musician, Evan Felker. Listen, there’s nothing wrong with ending one thing for another. However, fans were left puzzled because Felker was still very much a married man.
That romance only lasted a few months and in January — Lambert secretly wed NYPD officer, Brendan McLoughlin. The singer waited until Valentine’s Day to announce her marriage. She shared on Instagram, “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for…. Me.” But how did the “Bluebird” singer even meet her husband?

Since announcing their marriage, Lambert and McLoughlin have remained pretty lowkey. However, Lambert has hopped on Instagram to wish her hubby happy birthday and to raise awareness about her MuttNation Foundation. They also appeared together on the American Country Music Awards red carpet last April. But how did they even meet, to begin with?
Last November, Lambert was doing a show for Good Morning America and McLoughlin just happened to be one of the officers doing security. She told The New York Times,
I met my husband doing press for the Pistol Annies record, this time last year. Our record came out the day after Halloween, and we did Good Morning America. My husband was doing security there for the show. My girlfriends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone. They invited him to our show behind my back. They plucked him for me. My security guy Tom, he was in on it too. He said to me, ‘He’s here. And he’s pretty.’
Why are Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin constantly plagued by divorce rumors?
Since they first announced their marriage, Lambert and McLoughlin have been plagued by breakup rumors. Most of this seems to stem from the duos’ quick marriage and McLoughlin’s past. The former NYPD Officer welcomed a newborn son around the same time he met Lambert. Apparently, this baby was conceived when he was engaged to someone else entirely. However, neither the songstress nor McLoughlin have let the rumors affect them.

The rumors that this pair is headed for divorce are simply untrue. Back in May 2019 — rumors sprouted again that the duo was close to calling it quits. However, a rep for the pair quickly clapped back. They told E! News, “[It’s] completely made up. Not one iota is true. They are happy and together!”
